HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

for Tuesday, April 23rd             

Prom and Post Prom tickets will be sold in the commons during lunch TODAY thru Friday.  Prom tickets are $20 each and Post Prom tickets are $10 each. No tickets will be sold at the door. If you are not here during lunch, please see Mrs. Lagle to purchase your tickets either before or after school. Guest forms and Post Prom waivers must be signed and returned by Friday… no exceptions!

The following students have coupons for tuxedo rentals @ Men's Wearhouse - Brenden Flannell, Brady Masengale, Luke Nichols, and Zach Stephens.  Please see them for the coupons!

There are still some Seniors who need to bring in your baby pictures for the graduation slideshow.  The last day to accept senior pics is May 1st

Seniors will need their senior quote by this FRIDAY in advisory.  The quotes must be returned to your advisor during advisory.  They must be 2 sentences long and cannot be demeaning to people or places to be approved.  

Please check the bulletin boards for your Senior fees and fines owed to the high school.  Pay them in the office.  Also, after May 1st, all payments must be made in CASH!  No checks will be accepted.  Also, all Senior library books need to be returned to the library by April 25th or you will be charged for the book.

Farmer City Baseball is sponsoring a Monical’s Pizza Community Day.  Monical’s will donate 20% of your bill to Farmer City Baseball on Tuesday, April 23rd.  This would be valid at any

Gibson City, Mahomet or Clinton location!  Come out and join us for a worthwhile cause!  Forms are in the office.

There will be a volleyball open gym Wednesday from 4:30-6pm (4-24) in the new gym.

Summer Volleyball camp forms are available from Coach Miles.  Please return by May 11th.

High school summer girls basketball camp will begin June 4th from 2:30pm to 4pm, and June 5th – 7th from 12:00 noon to 2pm.  Deadline is April 26th.  Pick up the forms in the office or for additional information contact the high school office. 

The JV Baseball Team won it's second game of the season beating the Broncos of Cerro-Gordo-Bement Monday night.  Ben Wallace picked up the Win on the mound in this 18-2 Knight victory.  He struck out 8 batters, walked only 1, gave up only 2 hits, and allowed zero earned runs.  Cole Stephens paced the offense with 3 hits while driving in 5 Knight runners.  Victor Reynolds and Wyatt Danner-Duncan each had two hits and drove in two runs to aid the Blue Ridge offensive attack.  Ben Potter and Adrian Jones each had a hit in the game with Potter driving in 3 runs as well.  

In Boys Baseball last night, Aaron Jayne allowed only 1 hit in a 16-0, 5-inning shellacking of Cerro Gordo last night.  Jacob Mozingo led the way offensively with a 3-3, 4 RBI performance.  Aaron and Jayden Dalton had 2 hits each and Jayden and Keegan Lyle chipped in 3 RBI apiece,

In Softball last night the Lady Knights defeated Cerro Gordo 11 to 3.  Sydnee Evans struck out 9 in a complete game. Elise Swanstrom had 4 hits, Farrah Michaels added 3 hits, and Jasmine Bennett drove in 2 runs as well.   In the 2nd game, Blue Ridge defeated Cerro Gordo 13 to 2.  Avery Place picked up her 6th win striking out 4 in 5 innings. She had 2 hits and drove in 3 at the plate. 6 Knights had multiple hits. 

Congratulations to the girls track team for winning the quad track meet yesterday at LeRoy placing 1st out of 4 teams competing.  Polly Reynolds who beat her own school record in the HJ to take first in the event clearing 5' even.  Polly also placed 1st in the LJ and TJ respectively.   Congrats to Jenna Mozingo for beating her own school record in the 300IH placing 1st at 48.82s.  Macey Hamm placed 1st in the 3200 at 14:11.  The 4x100 team of Jenna Mozingo, Carley Ester, Polly Reynolds and Bri Wallace placed 1st with a PR time of 55.12s.  Bri Wallace placed 2nd in the 200m with a PR time of 28.92.  Megan Schumacher placed 2nd in the discus with a PR throw of 72' and took 2nd in the shot put as well.  Sarah Whitehouse got a PR in the discus, as did Jessie Wanserski in the HJ.  Good effort all the way around.  Today the Boys and Girls Track Teams compete at Heyworth beginning at 4:15 and the JV Baseball team plays Heyworth at HOME beginning at 4:30.

Please dismiss the boys and girls track teams TODAY at 2:35 for their meet at Heyworth. 

After school detentions this week are with Mr. Decker.  Lunch detentions today are in the office.
