Parent Academy

Blue Ridge Schools intend to host 2-3 Parent Academies throughout the school year to give Parents and Guardians time to learn about curriculum, resources, and programs that will help them support their child's learning and development. Each event will have information that is useful for families with students in all grade levels. A light meal is provided for attendees and their children, and childcare is available. Boosters, Blue Ridge PIE, and Blue Ridge Educational Foundation are assisting with costs for the events.

The following Parent Academies are planned for 2017-18:

  • August 29, 2017 - THE VALUE OF PLAYING MATH GAMES AT HOME Schneider School for a light supper at 6:00 p.m., followed by a presentation from ISU Professor, Dr. Cindy Pulley, on the value of playing math games at home. After the presentation, parents/guardians will be invited to rotate between stations to learn about and play various math games. There is no cost to attend. Childcare will be provided at no charge – donations accepted. Community members are also welcome to attend. Please RSVP by responding to this survey link:
