After graduating from Western Illinois University, I accepted a job in the southern part of Iowa as a high school librarian.? After two years I came back to Illinois and accepted a job at the Farmer City - Mansfield School District.? My job was only at the high school.? In 1980 I married Mike Hendricks, the high school science/math teacher.? We have been married 28 years and have lived in Farmer City all of these years.? We have 3 children.? Our oldest son, Brant, is an accountant for Boeing in St. Louis and he and his wife reside in St. Peters, Missouri.? Our second daughter, Amber, is a senior at Elmhurst College.? Jamie, our youngest daughter, is a freshman at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. I am completing my 29th year in the school district where I am now district librarian.
