Adam Swigart is the Blue Ridge High School Agriculture Instructor and FFA Advisor. Growing up with an agricultural background and being from the Farmer City community has brought him back to this role as an Ag Educator. In high school he was a member of the Blue Ridge FFA program and became involved in several activities including Livestock Judging, Proficiency Awards (Record Books), FFA Week Activities, and Public Speaking just to name a few.
Upon graduation from BRHS, he recieved a tuition waiver scholarship to Black Hawk Community College in Kewanee, IL where he was a member of a very successful livestock judging team that recieved numerous awards. ?After revieing his accociates degree he transfered to the University of Illinois where he recieved his bachelors degree in Agricultural Education. He was also a member of the U of I livestock judging team and Hoof N Horn club director.
Aside from teaching Agriculture, Mr. Swigart lives in rural Farmer City where he assists on his family farming operation which consists of about 65 registered Hereford Cattle and 1000 acres of crop ground.
