Parkland College will be hosting its annual
Illinois College Expo in the Parkland Gym on Sept. 15th, 6:00-8:00. Admissions
counselors from dozens of colleges in Illinois
and the Midwest will be on hand to meet and
talk with interested students. Juniors and seniors are urged to attend.
Admissions
reps will be here next week from Illinois Wesleyan on Tues., the U. of I. on
Wed., and Illinois
College on Thurs. Seniors
wishing to meet with them should stop by the guidance office for a pass.

who placed orders for sunglasses need to pay Mrs. Lagle by Friday please.

Fall
group and individual pictures will be Sept. 22 after school beginning at 3:30
for volleyball, football, boys and girls golf, soccer, flags and marching band.
Attention
court members and class attendants: We have an important meeting on Friday.

cannot be there, you need to tell Mr. Anton asap.
Homecoming
kick-off starts with coronation at 4 on Sunday, September 19. Sign-up
sheets for kick-off events are in the office. This means volleyball, powderpuff,
and the Mr./Miss Cool contests. Please sign up by September 10. If we don't
have enough participants, we won't organize the events.
Softball players: Your money is needed by Sept.
25th for orders. Also, there is a
softball meeting today @ 12:35 in Ms. Thacker's room.
Game
Day Gondolas will be available tomorrow in the commons.$3 for sandwich and $5 for meal.
Come
out and have lunch on Saturday's at J P Cools in Mansfield. $1.00 of each Saturday's "special" order goes
to the football program from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The boys golf team lost a close
match last night to Olympia
at Woodlawn C.C. 186-191. Scoring for the Knights were Austin Maxwell-46,
Will Duggins-47, Curtis Ghent-48, and Jacob Strutner and CJ Bishop each
shot 50. Tonight the boys go to LeRoy for a match against LeRoy and
Heyworth. They should be dismissed at 2:45 for a 2:55 departure.
Todaythe Varsity Golf Team plays at
Heyworth beginning at 3:30 and the Volleyball Team travels to Tremont with the
Junior Varsity starting at 6:00 and the Varsity shortly after. Go Knights!
Today's hot lunch menu is cheeseburger/bun
or 1 alternative entrée, pickle slices, tossed salad, green beans, fruit choice,
and bread basket. Breakfast menu for tomorrow is juice, cereal, and frudel.
