We are currently planning to install the new
playground east of the new school building in early to mid-August. We are
planning to do what is called a "supervised" installation, where a
single installer from the playground equipment company is on hand to help and
supervise while we provide volunteer labor for the installation. This was
recently successfully done by the Kiwanis with the new playground
installation at Weedman Park in Farmer City. The reason for choosing the
supervised installation option is that it will enable us to purchase more
equipment as we save a tremendous amount of money by not having the playground
company do the actual labor for the installation If you would be willing
to provide volunteer help in August with this project, please email the me at

I will pass along a list of potential volunteers to the playground company and
Mr. Wilkinson, the new principal so that they can contact you when we know
specific dates and times for this installation.
ALL
Knight-Lite basketball equipment stored above the stage at Mansfield Elementary
School must be removed by the end of the school year. This is due to moving from the old building
into the new on for next school year.
Please turn in
Registration Packets.

For the 2013-14 school year the State of
Illinois is requiring that all students in grades 6-12 have a Tdap (Whooping
Cough) immunization or proof thereof or they will face exclusion from school. Blue
Ridge students must have this proof of this vaccination by the first day of
school in August of 2013 or they will be excluded from school. All 6th
and 9th grade students must also have a school physical and proof of
that physical in the school office before the first day of school. Please make your appointments now.
