ILLINOIS COLLEGE FAIR

Parkland College will host an Illinois College Expo on Wed. Sept. 15 6:00 to 8:00 in the Parkland College Gym.  Admission reps from dozens of colleges and universities in-state and out-of-state will be on hand to speak with prospective students.  Juniors and seniors are urged to attend. 

FALL COLLEGE REPS VISITS

Fall is a prime time that college admission reps like to visit high school and talk with prospective students.  I am listing below the college that plans to visit and when that will take place.  Seniors who wish to meet with thes admission reps need to stop into the guidance office and pick a pass from the counselor.

KNIGHT CARDS

Again this year Blue Ridge High School is rewarding students with "Knight Cards".  These cards are given to students each quarter based on their academic performance, discipline, and attendance.  The cards can be used for admission to a number of school events, for homework passes for certain homework assignments, and to receive rewards by being selected as a "daily winner" where they will be able to pick from a variety of prizes which have been donated by businesses in the area.  Those businesses which have donated to the Knight Card program are:

The Peoria Rivermen, Avanti's Italian Restaurant, Main Street Video, Taco Bell of Bloomington-Normal, The Peoria Chiefs, The Chicago White Sox
