Promenade and Coronation will be today at 5:00 in the BRHS Gymnasium. The general public needs to park behind the school and enter from the back main entrance to the gym. Students are to park in front of the school or in the faculty parking lot and enter through the circle drive entrance. The main gym lights will be turned off during Promenade. Rt54 Photography will be taking pictures of everyone when they walk in. Pictures can be downloaded for free from their Facebook page.

Blue Ridge High School Band Fundraiser and Talent Show was a huge success. 8th grader Sarah Whitehouse won the talent show. Current sudents and alumni performed. Proceeds from the talent show will help pay for the bands trip to Washington DC this May.

The Blue Ridge Board of Education was one of 20 school boards to earn the Illinois Association of School Board 2017 School Board Governance Recognition designation. This recognition is designed to acknowledge those school boards that have engaged in activities and modeled behaviors that lead to excellence in local school governance in support of quality public education. The recognition was formally presented at the October IASB Abe Lincoln Division Meeting. In addition, the school board conference in November will have a special display to recognize the boards who were awarded this distinction.
