Welcome to the Blue Ridge School District, serving the communities of Bellflower, Farmer City and Mansfield. Our award winning schools have a tradition of academic success and strong extra-curricular programs. Our schools are staffed by dedicated and highly qualified teachers and support personnel. Students are offered a broad curriculum with many opportunities that include outstanding vocational, fine arts, extra-curricular, and co-curricular programs. Our free preschool program serves students ages 3-4. High quality parent-child activities are provided for families with children ages 3-5 through the Growing Together program.
Blue Ridge students are fortunate to have access to many of the benefits of a large school, but in a small, personalized setting. This type of learning environment can be extremely successful as illustrated by the recognition of Blue Ridge High School by U.S. News and World Report as one of the top 8% of high schools in the United States. In addition, Schneider Elementary was named a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. Blue Ridge Junior High and Schneider also received Academic Improvement Awards from the Illinois State Board of Education to honor schools for substantial gains in performance over three years.
Community and parent support are key components to the success of our schools, and all are welcomed and encouraged to become involved. Many opportunities exist with Junior High Boosters, High School Boosters, Band Boosters, Partners in Education (PIE), and the Blue Ridge Educational Foundation (BREF). BREF was created in 2003 to promote and support the educational needs of the students and community members of the Blue Ridge School District through donations, gifts and grants.
You are welcome to contact any of our schools for more information or visit our website at www.blueridge18.org. We look forward to working with you to provide the best educational experience possible for our students.
