HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

for Friday, April 26th               

Today is your last chance to purchase your Prom and Post Prom tickets in the commons during lunch.  Prom tickets are $20 each and Post Prom tickets are $10 each. Make checks out to “BRHS Class of 2020”.  No tickets will be sold at the door. Guest forms and Post Prom waivers must be signed and returned TODAY in the office. 

The following students have coupons for tuxedo rentals @ Men's Wearhouse - Brenden Flannell, Brady Masengale, Luke Nichols, and Zach Stephens.  Please see them for coupons!    

The seniors last day to accept senior pictures for the graduation slide show is next Wednesday.   Also, Jostens has extra Graduation announcements available if you need to purchase more.  See the office for more information.

Seniors will need their senior quote by TOMORROW in advisory.  The quotes must be returned to your advisor during advisory.  They must be 2 sentences long and cannot be demeaning to people or places to be approved.  

Please check the bulletin boards for your Senior fees and fines owed to the high school.   After May 1st, all fines must be made in CASH!  No checks will be accepted.

In addition, all Senior library books need to be returned to the library TODAY or you will be charged for the book.

If you had any community service during the school year, we want to recognize you on honors night!  Please fill out the purple community service hours paper handed out in today's 3rd hour class.  If you did not get a paper, see the main office or Mrs. Whitehouse.  Community Service papers should be turned in no later than April 30th in order to be recognized at honors night!  

Summer Volleyball camp forms are available from Coach Miles.  Please return by May 11th.

High school summer girls basketball camp will begin June 4th from 2:30pm to 4pm, and June 5th – 7th from 12:00 noon to 2pm.  Deadline is April 26th.  Pick up the forms in the office or for additional information. 

Upcoming events for next week is:

·         The Annual FFA Awards Banquet will be Sunday beginning at 6:00 pm in the Old Gym.

·         The Tech Prep Appreciation Banquet will be on Thursday beginning at 6:00 pm in the               Library.

·         Honors Night will also be on Thursday beginning at 7:00 pm in the New Gym.

 

Congratulations to the girls track team for placing 3rd out of 11 teams competing last night at the Ridgeview Invite.  Jenna Mozingo placed 1st in the 100HH and 300IH.  Macey Hamm placed 2nd in the 3200 with a PR time of 14:09.  The 4x800 team of Macey Hamm, Jessie Wanserksi, Katie Bowns and Jamie Wanserski also placed 2nd with a PR time of 12:20.  The 4x200 team of Destiny Baker, Jessie Wanserski, Carley Ester and Bri Wallace placed 3rd as well as Polly Reynolds in the LJ and TJ respectively.  There were a lot of notable PR's last night!  Katie Cole PR'd in shot put at 27'1" placing 5th along with Carley Ester placing 4th in the 300IH at 57.36s.  Josephine Aldrich PR'd in the discus at 52'5" and the 3200 with a time of 17:16.98.  Sarah Whitehouse PR'd in the discus at 49'10".  A shout out to Macey Hamm who competed in 4 miles of competitive running last night participating in the 4x800, 3200, 800, and the 1600!  Way to go Lady Knights track and field!

Kaitlyn Bradford lead the Lady Knights Softball team last night with 2 hits and 6 RBI’s. Harley Buchanan and Ashlyn Voyles each had two hits and 2 RBI’s and Kaitlyn Zeigler added 3 RBI’s but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Knights suffered a loss to Delavan last night 18 to 17. 

Today the Varsity Softball team plays at Deer Creek-Mackinaw with the first pitch being thrown at 4:30. Go Knights!  

The Baseball team plays at HOME tonight with the first pitch starting at 4:30.
