HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

For Tuesday, September 10th

 

Students in the Ag SAE class have a meeting during lunch on TODAY. 

 

If you are interested in being a Knight Buddy, please sign up in the library.  Sign-ups are due by this FRIDAY.  Mrs. Coy will advise you the week of September 20th on selection.

 

If you did not get a chrome book case at the beginning of the year, we now have them available!  Please come down to Mr. Kramer’s office to get one for your chrome book!

 

"The Snack Shack” is now fully open with snacks, drinks, baked goods, and even cappuccino. Bring your money and stop by room 212 before or after school or during passing periods to get a delicious snack.

 

The Junior class is selling Window Decals of your favorite sports or organizations.  Please pick up order form in the office!  The deadline for orders is Sept. 23rd.

Attention all Homecoming Attendants and King/Queen Candidates:  There will be a brief meeting in Ms. Loop’s room THIS FRIDAY at 8:00 am to discuss your involvement in the parade and coronation.  Please plan to attend!

 

Thursday, September 19th is the first FFA meeting of the year at 7 pm in the Ag Room! It's a sports-themed meeting so bring a themed snack and feel free to dress up for the meeting!

The Farmer City Haunted Forest is looking for volunteers for their 2-weekend event this year:  October 18th and 19th and October 25th and 26th.  There are lots of ways to be involved and earn community service hours and a great group project to help with in the community!  See Mrs. Whitehouse or email fchauntedforest@gmail.com for more information.

 

Attention College-Bound Juniors and Seniors:  Many universities have open houses and visit days on Saturdays and days that we do not have school.  Plan ahead and use your days off wisely!  There are many opportunities on Oct 11th and Oct 14th!  

The girls golf team split a 3-way match by beating GCMS but falling to Pontiac.  Leading scorers were Ashlyn Voyles with a 47 and followed by Abby Trimble and Alyvia Bernard.

In Soccer last night, Blue Ridge defeated Iroquois West 8 to 1.  In the 1st half scoring for Blue Ridge was Victor Reynolds, assisted by Colin Magenheimer.  There was no scoring in the 2nd half.  Abby Bolen had 7 saves.

 

Congratulations to the Varsity and JV Volleyball teams on their home wins vs. Fisher last night.  The Varsity won  25-7, 25-11 to improve to 8-0 overall.  Blue Ridge won the JV contest 25-15, 25-10.  Fisher won the Frosh contest 25-14, 25-22.  Leading the Varsity Knights was Meah Carter with 7 kills and 3 blocks followed by Nadia Beadle with 13 digs, Gracie Shaffer with 16 assists and Jamie Wanserski and Payton Burns with 5 aces each. 

 Today the Girls Golf team competes at Prairie Central with tee time at 4pm.  Teachers, please dismiss the Girls Golf team today at 2:20 for the bus.  The Boys Golf team competes at HOME in the Blue Ridge Quad beginning at 4:00.

The Soccer Team plays at Judah Christian starting at 4:30.  Teachers, please dismiss the Soccer team at 2:50 with the bus leaving at 3pm.  The Volleyball team also competes tonight at Cumberland with the Junior Varsity beginning at 6:00 and the Varsity shortly after. Go Knights!

Lunch Detentions TODAY are with Mr. Seneca and after school detentions are with Mrs. Wieber.
