HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Please turn in the Evacuation Drill form to the office today!

Blue Ridge FFA has pumpkins for sale in the Ag Room! We have a few smaller ones for $3 and many large ones for $5. Pumpkins will be sold until October 27th so get them while they are here! 

Any student interested in a career in computer science and cyber security should see Mrs. Whitehouse for information about an awesome workshop on Saturday, October 19th.

 

EIU will be visiting TODAY during seventh hour, please see Mrs. Coy or Mrs. Whitehouse for a pass if you are interested in attending. 

Farmer City Baseball is having a community day at Monical’s Pizza next Monday, October 14th.  Monical’s will donate 20% or your bill to the organization.  Flyers are in the office if you need one!

The Farmer City Haunted Forest will be carving pumpkins on three different days and we invite you to help us!  Dates are: 

 October 15th - Starting at 4:30 p.m. 

October 16th - Starting at 4:30 p.m. 

October 17th  - Starting at 4:30 p.m.

The Blue Ridge Soccer team lost to Monticello last night 1 to 4.  All the scoring was in the 2nd half with Brenden Flannell scoring a goal unassisted.  Jayden Dalton had 9 saves in the game.

 

The Varsity Volleyball team split last night losing to LSA but then rebounded to defeat Villa Grove to advance to the consolation semi-final round vs. Arcola tonight at Oakland at 6pm.  Leading the Knights in the Villa Grove match was Gracie Shaffer with 30 assists followed by Nadia Beadle's 14 kills and 23 digs.  Meah Carter also chipped in with 10 kills and 10 digs as well as Jenna Mozingo's 18 digs and Jamie Wanserski with 12 service pts and 1 ace.  Go Knights!

 

The Boys Golf team competed yesterday in the regional tournament in Danville.  The team finished 6th out of 10 teams.  Aaron Jayne shot a powerful 85 which placed him as the 5th place medalist and propelled him to advance sectional tournament next Monday in El Paso.  The rest of the team did well also with Wyatt Summers shooting a good 98, Dylan Kelley a respectable 100 and Dylan Coffey posting an improved round.  Congratulations to all the Boys Golf team and a great year!

After school detentions this week are with Mrs. Davis.  Lunch Detentions Tuesday are with Mr. Seneca.
