HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

for Wednesday, October 16th

 

Blue Ridge FFA still has some pumpkins for sale in the Ag Room! We have a few smaller ones for $3 and many large ones for $5. Pumpkins will be sold until October 27th or until they are gone!! 

FCA will meet TODAY at lunch in Mr. Sparks room.

A Student Council meeting will be held during lunch on Thursday 10/17 in Ms. Loop’s room. 

There will be a scholastic bowl meeting in the new gym at 12:30 on Thursday Oct 17th.  

Any baseball player that needs a new hat, please see Mr. Sparks at lunch on Thursday. 

Friday will be a girls basketball meeting in the new gym at 12:35.  All girls interested or that might be interested in playing, please attend!

Also Friday will be a Boys Basketball meeting at lunch in the new gym at 12:30.

Key Club members will have a meeting in Mrs. Davis’ room during lunch on Friday!

Any student interested in a career in computer science and cyber security should see Mrs. Whitehouse for information about an awesome workshop on Saturday, October 19th.

There will be re-tryouts for the basketball cheer squad.  Anyone is welcome to come and see what it is all about.  Open gym and instruction will be held Oct 22 and 23 from 7-8 am and also 3:30-4:30 pm in the old gym and the tryout will be held on Oct 24, starting right after school.  See Coach Kristi with any questions.  

The Farmer City Haunted Forest will be carving pumpkins they invite you to help them this week!  Dates are: 

TODAY - Starting at 4:30 p.m. 

October 17th  - Starting at 4:30 p.m. 

Congratulations to Kalyn Warner for being selected as the News-Gazette “High School Confidential” reporter.  She’ll be writing news articles for the paper on the happenings at BRHS.

Congratulations to the “Athletes of the Month” for September are:  Sarah Whitehouse, Cheer, Zach Stephens, Football, Mitchell Houser, Soccer, Jenna Mozingo, Volleyball, Wyatt Summers, Boys Golf, Savannah Stiger, Girls Golf.  Athletes of the Month students, please see Mrs. Raines in the library for your t-shirt!

 

In Blue Ridge Soccer last night, Blue Ridge lost to Cornerstone 3 to zero in a 2-overtime game.  Jayden Dalton had 10 saves.  Congratulations on a great season Knights!

 

After school detentions this week is with Mrs. Lagle.  Lunch detentions on Thursday are with Ms. Meisner in the Ag room.

 

 Today’s lunch menu is: Bosco Sticks or Chicken Tenders with Oven Fries
