Attention Seniors:  this is your last chance to sign off on your graduation diploma name spelling in the office this week!


Emma Hammer, please return your set of poms to Coach Kristi as soon as possible.


TODAY there be a meeting for all Key Club members during lunch in Mrs. Davis's room. 

Students, please look on Skyward at your second semester schedule.  Now is the time to make sure that there are no errors.  If you see something that doesn't look right, please contact Mrs. Whitehouse or Mrs. Coy. 


If any students are considering adding Art Appreciation to their schedule, 3rd hour next semester, they must see Mrs. Whitehouse asap because of Parkland paperwork.  

The Student Council will be celebrating the Christmas season with a dress up contest next week!

Next week’s activities are:

Monday: Christmas Colors Day (Green and Red)

Tuesday: Ugly Sweater Day

Wednesday: Christmas socks and/or ties

Thursday: Santa/Christmas Hat Day

Friday: Christmas Characters Day 


Winners from each day’s contest will win a “Candy Gram” prize, chosen each day at lunch by secret voters.  Also, Student Council will award Christmas cookies, during lunch on Tuesday, December 18, to the class who participates the most for the entire week.  BRHS employees are part of the challenge which means they can win the basket of cookies, if they have the highest percentage of participation for the week. 


Student Council students are selling Candy Grams during the lunch next week.  Candy Grams can also be purchased in my room, 208.  Candy Grams cost $2.00.  Proceeds will be donated to the USO: Operation Phone Home project, as part of our Veterans Appreciation mission. Candy Grams will be delivered to recipients on Monday, December 16th


Blue Ridge FFA is still selling digital discount cards that have offers to over 340,000 local and national businesses along with travel discounts. Cards are $10 and can be purchased from any FFA member. The last day to purchase is December 12th.


Christmas in the library will be on Friday Dec 13th during lunch.  Stop in for Christmas music, snacks, Christmas craft making, and possibly a reindeer game.  Don't forget your lunch.  Thank you to the Key Club for sponsoring this event.  


Are you interested in working for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources? A representative from the IDNR will be visiting December 13th during first hour. The IDNR covers a broad range of careers with positions in conservation/preservation, water resources, parks & recreation, hunting and trapping, boating and fishing, and law and safety. This is your chance to learn more about these career paths and what working for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources might be like, see Mrs. Coy or Mrs. Whitehouse for your pass! 


Congratulations to the Girls Basketball team on their win over LSA last night, 54 to 24.


The Boys Basketball team lost in double overtime last night 78 to 74.  Leading the scoring last night was Zack Stephens with 26 points, Lane Nichols with 16 and Cole Stephens with 16.
