The Snack Shack is re-stocked with some new items and your favorites! Stop by room 212 during a passing period to see what we have!

Attention all Sophomores:  Please turn in your Monical’s Pizza certificates to the office TODAY!!!

There will be a scholastic bowl practice today at 3:15 in the chem. lab.

Don’t miss this chance to take a trip to Oz this semester! Come to auditions for The Magical Land of Oz today after school in the library from 3:30-6:00. Can’t make it? Talk to Miss Yeagle sometime today!!!!

Please also announce that there will be an International Club meeting on Thursday in Ms. Loop’s room during lunch.

Attention Tech Prep students, this is a reminder that we have seminar on this  Friday.  You are to go to room 102 and please remind your business partners that you will not be there.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Dowling.

Do not forget to renew or return your library books.  Overdue books will result in fines.

The next FFA chapter meeting is TOMORROW night with committees meeting at 6:30pm and the regular meeting at 7pm.

The CEO class will be hosting a 5k/1 mile run this Saturday in Forsyth at 9am. If anyone wants any further details please speak with Seniors Brenden Flannell or Gabe Jenkins. 

The Student Council is sponsoring a Venus & Mars: Ladies Choice dance on Saturday, February 15th from 7:00-10:00 pm in the Old Gym.  Tickets will be sold during lunch, February 10-13, in the Commons, or may be purchased at the door.  Ticket prices will be $4.00 if the ticket is purchased in advance, or $5.00 if purchased at the dance.  In addition to the dance, the Student Council is sponsoring a Ms. Venus and Mr. Mars contest.  Votes will take place the week before the dance during lunch.  Votes cost 5 cents each. Winners of the contest will be crowned at the dance.  Students who wish to participate in the contest should see Ms. Loop.

 

Student Council will once again sell carnations for Valentine’s Day.  Carnation sales will take place in the Commons the week of January 27th-31st.  Carnations will be delivered Thursday, February 13th during 8th hour. Carnation prices are yet to be determined.

 

The Student Council meeting for this Tuesday has been rescheduled for next Tuesday, January 28.

(No student classes on Feb 14) Carnations cost $2 each or 3 for $5. What an affordable way to show someone you care this Valentine's Day! 

Last night at the Varsity Quad meet, Blue Ridge Scholastic Bowl team defeated LeRoy 270-120, Tri-Point 260-150 and Christ Lutheran 350-100 to improve their overall record to 22-7.  Leading the Varsity in toss-ups was Sami Boogren with 11 followed by Hutch Partlow with 8, Nadia Beadle with 7, Josephine Aldrich with 5, Mitchell Houser with 4 and Abby Johnson with 2.  The JV teams played 3 rounds of  intra-scrimmage matches and where led in toss-ups by Aiden Soliday's 7 followed by Caleb Hirschman's 6.  Way to go Knights Scholastic Bowl team!

The Boys Basketball team played at Argenta-Oreana last night defeating them with a score of 50 to 24.  Leading scorers for Blue Ridge was Zack Stephens with 26 points.  Their record is now 8 and 12.  Way to go Knights!

After school detentions this week is with Mr. Duke.  Lunch detentions Thursday is with Mr. Seneca.
