DAILY STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

for Wednesday, February 3rd         

Attention seniors from Ms. Thacker -  a google form will be sent out soon to your email asking for your senior quote.  It must be appropriate and no more than 2 sentences.    Please keep it positive!

 

The yearbook class will need 2 senior pics, 2 baby pics and 2 other pictures of you growing up by Apr. 1st.  You can send these digitally to athacker@blueridge18.org or bring them to the school to be scanned! 

Attention Seniors. If you are interested in working on a local Corn and Soybean farm full time after graduation and being trained on Semi and Farm Machinery driving- see Ms. Meisner in the Ag Room for more information.

Attention Seniors, Local scholarship packets are now available in the Library! Packets are for any Senior interested in applying. 

 

The next FFA meeting is February, 17th here at the High School. Committees start at 6:30 pm and the Chapter meeting is at 7 pm. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

 

FFA Members selling strawberries, order forms are due Friday, February 5th to Ms. Meisner. 

 

FFA Members wanting to do Parliamentary Procedure or Conduct of Chapter meetings, practices start this Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30-6:30 in the Ag Room. 

 

Current Color Guard members- there will be a meeting in Ms. Meisner's room during lunch on Thursday, February 4th. 

 

Spring play rehearsals will begin on Thursday at 3:30pm.

 

Any FFA Member interested in community service, we will be making our annual Valentine's Day cards for the nursing home and the Cancer Center patients on Sunday, February 7th at 5 pm in the Ag Room. This does count towards Chapter, State, and American Degree requirements. 

 

We are planning 2 spirit days on Thursday and Friday this week.  Thursday will be Class Colors day.  Seniors wear Black, Juniors - Blue; Sophomores- Gray and Freshman -White.  Friday make sure to wear you Blue and Silver showing your Knight Pride! 

 

Congrats to the Varsity Scholastic Bowl team for defeating Deland-Weldon in dual matches last night to improve their overall record to 28-12.  Leading the Knights in toss-ups was Sami Boogren with 6 followed by Abby Johnson with 5, Hutch Partlow with 4,  Annabell Johnson with 2 and Aiden Soliday and Ben Potter with 1 each.  Both Varsity and JV scholastic bowl teams are back in action Thursday in LPC play vs. Cumberland and Okaw Valley.  Go Knights!
