DAILY STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

for Thursday, February 11th         

There will be a Student Council meeting TODAY from 2:25-2:45 in Ms. Loop’s room. The topic of discussion is the spring workshop for Central Illinois Student Councils.  All Student Council members are encouraged to attend.

Students, please remember, per the school dress code, hats are not allowed and detentions will be given if students are wearing them in school.

 

There will be an International Club meeting in Ms. Loop’s room next Thursday, February 18th, from 2:25-2:45 to discuss a Bollywood theme party later this month.  All current International Club members, and any new students wishing to join International Club, are encouraged to attend. 

 

The yearbook class will need 2 senior pics, 2 baby pics and 2 other pictures of you growing up by Apr. 1st.  You can send these digitally to athacker@blueridge18.org or bring them to the school to be scanned! 

Seniors - Local scholarship packets are now available in the Library!  Packets are for any Senior interested in applying. 

 

The next FFA meeting is February 17th here at the High School. Committees start at 6:30 pm and the Chapter meeting is at 7 pm. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

 

March 2nd after school will be team sports photos.

The 3rd Annual "Hunting for your Future" College Fair hosted by Blue Ridge FFA has gone virtual! See posters around the school to sign up for the Virtual College Fair on February 25th, 2021 at 5 pm. See any FFA Officer or Ms. Meisner for any information. 

 

The Blue Ridge FFA is hosting their 1st Annual Barnyard Stampede Virtual 5k. See posters March 19th-28th. $25 for Blue Ridge Students and Employees and FFA Alumni, $30 for other participants. Sign up and pay with any FFA Member or by the QR code on the posters by March 5th to receive a medal and shirt. 

 

In a makeup Conference Varsity match between Okaw Valley and Blue Ridge last night, Blue Ridge won 260-80 to improve their overall record to 31-13.  Leading the Knights in tossups was Sami Boogren with 7 followed by Annabell Johnson with 2, Hutch Partlow, Ben Potter and Aiden Soliday chipping in with 1 each.  Go Knights!

 

After school detentions this week are with Mr. Seneca.  Lunch detentions are on Thursday in the office.

 

Today’s lunch menu is Beef Hot Dogs or alternative lunch of Peanut Butter & Jelly

 

There is no school on Friday or Monday!  Happy President’s day!
