DAILY STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

for Tuesday, March 30th         

 

 

Scholarship packets can be turned into Mrs. Raines in the library.  They are due this Wednesday by 2:20pm!

 

Seniors, FASFA is a graduation requirement this year. You will need to return a waiver to show you have completed your FASFA application, or a non-participation form to exempt you. One of these waivers is due back in order to receive your diploma. Please check the counseling google classroom or see Mrs. Raines in the library for a waiver packet.

 

The yearbook class will need 2 senior pics, 2 baby pics and 2 other pictures of you growing up by this THURSDAY.  You can send these digitally to athacker@blueridge18.org or bring them to the school to be scanned! 

 

Seniors - Local scholarship packets are now available in the Library!  Packets are for any Senior interested in applying. 

Volleyball, Football, Football cheer, and Soccer pictures will be next Monday, April 5th after school due to a scheduling change.  The schedule is as follows

2:30: Volleyball; new gym

3:00 Football; at football field

3:30 Football cheer: at football field

4:00 Soccer: at practice field behind the school

 

The next FFA meeting is Wednesday with committees at 6:30 and chapter at 7. Officer elections are that evening and we will have a FFA cookout to cheer on from afar the football team with their first home game. 

 

This weekend 4 FFA members competed in the State FFA Awards day with their record books. 3 of our members placed top 5 in the state- Morgan Drozs in Specialty Crop Production, Lindsey Quinn in Ag Communications, and Hank Mitchell in Forage Production. Jaton Shaffer competed in Ag Sales Placement and was selected as the State Winner in his area and will be advancing to nationals. Congratulations!

 

Congrats to the varsity volleyball team for defeating Sangamon Valley last night 25-6, 25-12 to improve their overall record to 6-1 (3-1) in the LPC.  Leading the Varsity Lady Knights was Gracie Shaffer 16 assists and 4 aces followed by Nadia Beadle and Jamie Wanserski with 6 kills each, and  Nadia Beadle with 9 digs. Congrats to the JV volleyball team for notching their third win on the season with a 25-22, 25-23 win over Sangamon Valley. Way to go Knights!

 

BRHS soccer experienced their first defeat last night at Fisher with a final score of 6-1.  Scoring for the Knights was Victor Reynolds with an assist from Cameron Phillips.  Abby Bolen had 10 saves.  The Knights are back in action tonight at home with game time at 4:30.

After school detentions this week are with Mrs. Ringel until 3pm.
