Seniors, FASFA is a graduation requirement this year. A waiver should be returned to the library to show you have completed your application or a non-participation form to exempt you. One of these waivers is due soon in order to receive your high school diploma. Please check the counseling google classroom or see Mrs. Raines in the library for a waiver packet.

 

Soccer players:  Please return your clean soccer uniform to Mrs. Flannell this week!

 

Subway cards for scholastic bowl are still available.  Please see Mr. Miles if you’d like to purchase one!

 

Remember to return or renew your library books.  Fines are now being charged for late books! 

IT’S HOMECOMING WEEK! 

For yesterday’s Dress up Day competition:

Juniors had 29% participation; Sophomores had 24% participation; Freshmen had 21% participation and Seniors had 15% participation.  Congratulations to Sydnee Evans and Wyatt Cole for winning best dressed!

 

Here are the class standings after Day 3 of Spirit Week:

Juniors are in 1st place with 30 points; Sophomores are in 2nd place with 21 points; Freshmen are in 3rd place with 12 points; and Seniors are in 4th place with 3 points.

 

Hallway decorating must be completed by 4:00 pm TODAY; and Lip Synch Battle videos are due to Ms. Loop by 4:00 pm TODAY also.  Each of these competitions have double point values.

 

TODAY is regular class schedules.  Please check the Guidance Office class pages, available by 8th hour, to vote for your favorite outfits.

 

Friday is Blue Ridge Spirit Day.  Everyone should wear their Blue Ridge gear and show us YOUR SPIRIT!

 

Summer Volleyball camp forms are in the office for the Volleyball girls.

 

May 12 will be spring sports photos the schedule is as follows:

Softball: 2:30: on the softball field

Girls track: 3:00 practice field 

Boys track 3:30 practice field

Baseball 4:00 at south park or practice field 

 

There are summer Golf practice schedules in the office for those of you interested in playing golf this fall.

There will be Boys Track practice after school TODAY!!

Prom Court results are in!

Junior Class Attendants are Brayden Evans, Cam Lindsay, Payton Burns, and Ashlyn Voyles

Prom King Candidates are: Adrian Jones, Tyler Nichols, Victor Reynolds, and Jaton Shaffer

Prom Queen Candidates are: Sydnee Evans, Corissa Godbee, Jenna Mozingo, and Bri Palmer

 

Juniors and Seniors who are attending Post Prom need to sign up for which group they want to be in.  The lists are in Mrs. Jones' room.  If you are not in her class, please stop by to sign up.  We will be rotating groups through different activity areas and cleaning in between to keep everyone safe.  

Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball team for defeating Armstrong last night in a thrilling 25-22, 23-25, 25-11 to improve their overall record to 10-4.   Armstrong won the close JV contest by a score of 25-21, 25-23 to drop the JV record to 6-6 overall.  Leading the Varsity Knights was Nadia Beadle with 15 kills, 17 digs and 3 aces followed by Gracie Shaffer with 31 assists, Jenna Mozingo with 19 digs and Katie Bowns with 2 blocks.  Friday night, the Knights are back in action at HOME for their season finale vs. Martinsville with the JV start time of 5:30 pm.  Go Lady Knights!

Congratulations also goes to Mr. Miles who last night got his 300th career Volleyball win!  Way to go Coach Miles!

After school detentions TODAY are with Mr. Decker.
