Yesterday the boys track team participated in a quad meet at Okaw Valley finishing 2nd overall in the field of 4 teams.  Leading the team with our only first place finish and PR was Cole Pemble in the triple jump.  We had several very close finishes for 2nd place including the 100 and 4x100 relay where Joey Liedner was edged out by a tenth of a second in each. It was a big day for Personal Records. Those PRs included Joey Leidner in the 100, Hank Mitchell in the 200, Colin Michaels in the 800 and 1600.  Dawson Raines, Kolby Kramer and Mason Partlow all PR’d in the Shot Put with Mason also getting a PR in the Discus.  Way to go Knights!!

At the Okaw Valley quad meet last night the Lady Knights placed 2nd overall as a team.  The 4x800 team of Macey Hamm, Gracie Shaffer, Katie Bowns and Ella Danner-Duncan placed first as well as Gracie Shaffer in the 3200 with a PR time of 15:17.  Phoebe Reynolds and Alexis Wike placed 1st and 2nd in the TJ both with PR's at 32' and 30' 8" respectively.  Katie Bowns continued her improvement in the Shot and Disc placing 2nd in the shot and 3rd in the Disc with PR throws.  The headliner last night was Alexis Wike breaking her own school record in the HJ with a PR jump 5'2" placing first overall by previous scratches.  Overall it was a great night for BRHS Lady Knights track and field.

Avery Place picked up her 3rd Win of the year last night vs. Iroquois West as Blue Ridge Lady Knights won 15 – 5.  Avery also went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI. Jasmine Bennett drove in 3 runs and Farrah Michaels tripled and scored three times.  Way to go Lady Knights!
