FCA will meet TODAY in Mr. Minteer's room during lunch!  Bring your lunch and come join us for some good conversation and some good snacks. We hope to see you there!

 

Seniors last day of school is TODAY!  Don’t forget to clean out your lockers and return all books to your teachers!  Please turn your chrome book into the library to Mrs. Raines.  Come to the office to pay your fines!  Also as a reminder, please bring clothes & shoes with you on Friday to change into if you want to stick around after lunch Friday and play kickball at Weedman Park!

Dylan Coffey, you are the last soccer player to have not turned in your jersey!  Please return your white jersey to the office TODAY!!!!

 

All Students:  please return your library books TODAY.  You will be charged for lost books if they are not returned.  Fines are now being charged for late books! 

Color Guard Clinics will be held next week on May 25th – May 27th from 4-5pm to join a competitive team that performs with the marching band. Any current freshmen thru juniors are welcome to attend! You do not have to know anything, as we will teach it to you, just wear school appropriate clothes you can move in, tennis shoes, and bring a positive attitude. See Mr. Mitchell in the band room, Ms. Meisner in the Ag Room, or any current member for any questions or more information.

 

BRHS Yearbooks are for sale right now until May 28th.  You can order online  at www.jostensyearbooks.com or bring a check made out to BRHS yearbook or cash to Ms. Thacker for $50 to order yours.  Only a few extra books will be ordered so make sure you get yours before May 28.

 

Cheer open gyms will be held June 8, 9 and 10 from 3:30-5 for anyone wishing to try out for the football and/or basketball seasons next school year.  Tryouts will be held Friday, June 11 starting at 9 am.  Email Coach Woliung or stop by to see her to get on the email list for tryout video links and more info to come.  You won't want to miss these links, as they will get you prepared for open gym week.

The STEM club will be meeting next week on May 26th in the Biology room.

It was a good day for the elite BRHS girls track team at the ALAH quad last night placing 2nd overall finishing ahead of Arthur-Lovington Atwood Hammond and Cumberland.  Alexis Wike won the high jump while Phoebe Reynolds won the long jump and placed 2nd in the triple jump.  Katie Bowns continued her improvement with personal record throws placing 2nd in the shot put to start off the field events for the Lady Knights on a positive note.  Ella Danner-Duncan placed 1st in the 300 intermediate hurdles with a personal record time of 57.6 s as did Gracie Shaffer in the 3200.  Alexis Wike placed 1st in the 400 with a personal record time of 1:04.1.  The 4x200 team of Gracie Shaffer, Ella Danner-Duncan, Phoebe Reynolds and Katie Bowns placed 1st with a personal record time. The 4x400 team of Gracie Shaffer, Macey Hamm, Phoebe Reynolds and Alexis Wike culminated the meet with an exciting photo finish placing 1st in the event with a time of 4:58.  Other notables include Macey Hamms’ personal record's in the 800m and 1600m races placing 2nd in each event.  All in all it was a great night for BRHS Lady Knights girls track and field!
