Volleyball camp forms are due by Thursday and a summer volleyball meeting will be held at 2:20 in the new gym after school Wednesday, May 26th.

 

Don’t forget your librarian!  Pay your library fees TODAY! 

Color Guard Clinics will be held May 25th – May 27th from 4-5pm to join a competitive team that performs with the marching band. Any current freshmen thru juniors are welcome to attend! You do not have to know anything, as we will teach it to you, just wear school appropriate clothes you can move in, tennis shoes, and bring a positive attitude. See Mr. Mitchell in the band room, Ms. Meisner in the Ag Room, or any current member for any questions or more information.

 

The STEM club will be meeting on Wednesday, May 26th in the Biology room during lunch.

Please begin to clean out your lockers and turn in your charged chrome books, cases and chargers to the library if you are done with them.  If anything is wrong with them, you will be charged. 

Auditions for the summer community theatre production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland will be this Thursday and Friday - May 27 & 28 - from 3:30-5:00 and 6:30-8:00 onstage in Moore Gymnasium. No experience needed. Anyone who has completed kindergarten through the oldest of grandparents can join! You only need to come to one audition time. This Friday is the last day to order BRHS Yearbooks.  You can order online  at www.jostensyearbooks.com or bring a check made out to BRHS yearbook or cash to Ms. Thacker for $50 to order yours.  Only a few extra books will be ordered so make sure you get yours before May 28.

 

Cheer open gyms will be held June 8, 9 and 10 from 3:30-5 for anyone wishing to try out for the football and/or basketball seasons next school year.  Tryouts will be held Friday, June 11 starting at 9 am.  Email Coach Woliung or stop by to see her to get on the email list for tryout video links and more info to come.  You won't want to miss these links, as they will get you prepared for open gym week.

Avery Place picked up her 5th win in a complete game shutout last night. She added 3 hits and 2 RBI’s. Jasmine Bennett and Farrah Michaels had 3 hits a piece. Cassie Zimmerman drove in 3 runs as well, as the Lady Knights Softball team captured a 12 – Zero win!  Way to go Lady Knights! 

At the PBL dual meet last night the BRHS girls track team had many personal records and notables.  Alexis Wike ties her personal and school record in the high jump at 5'2" placing 1st as did the 4x800 team placing 1st with a personal record time of 12:59.7.  Phoebe Reynolds placed 1st in the triple jump and 300 IH with a time of 59.01s.  Katie Bowns won the shot put with a personal record throw of 27' 7" and placed 2nd in the discus with a personal record throw of 82'6".  All in all, it was a great showing in hot conditions for the Lady Knights track and field team.  The Lady Knights are back in action tonight at Cerro Gordo in a conference quad meet with the bus leaving at 2:40pm.  Good Luck Knights!

Ms. Villwock has after school detentions in her room this week.  Lunch detentions are today in the office.

Today’s lunch menu is: Soft Taco or the alternative lunch of a Bagel and Strawberry Cream Cheese.
