DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

for Tuesday, September 21st

 

Student Council will have their weekly meeting TODAY during lunch in the Library.  Please bring your lunch!

Freshman and sophomores, please renew your library books.  Late fees are being charged to you!

The Piatt County Toy and Gift program application form is in the office for the holidays.  This is only for students living in Piatt County.  If you are interested, the form must be postmarked by 10/31.  See the office for more details!

 

The first FFA Meeting is Wednesday at the High School.  Please come in the Ag door #10 by the Ag Room behind the School. Committees will meet at 6:30 pm with the Chapter meeting starting at 7:15 pm after the Committees meet. Come and learn about FFA and participate in a fun activity.

 

Upcoming College visit dates from the Guidance office are:

  • Greenville University will be here for a college visit Wednesday at 9:00am. 
  • SIUE is visiting also Wednesday at 2:00pm for a college visit for any Senior. 
  • SIUC will also be visiting Thursday at 11:30pm.
  • The Air Force will be coming on September 28th during lunch. 
  • Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing will be here for a college visit on October 18th at 1:00pm. 

See Ms. Hieronymus or Ms. Clayton for a pass for Juniors and Seniors to attend any of these college visits.

 

Congratulations to the Varsity Volleyball team for defeating Leroy on the road last night 25-22, 25-13 to improve their overall record to 22-2.  Gracie Shaffer paced the Knights with 13 assists and 2 aces followed by Payton Burns with17 digs, and Jaclyn Pearl 6 kills.  The JV lost a closely contested 3 set match to the hosts.  The Lady Knights are back in action tonight in LPC play vs. ALAH with a 6 pm JV start.  Go Knights!

 

After school detentions this week are in the office.  Lunch detentions today are with Mrs. Lacy.
