for Tuesday, October 5th

 

 

TODAY during lunch there will be a Student Council meeting in the Library.  Bring your lunch!

 

Senior Homecoming King and Queen voting is TODAY!  Please go to your English Google Classroom account and make your vote heard as soon as possible!!

 

Sign-ups for Homecoming games are on the bulletin board in the commons.  We need participants from each class to sign up.  Ask any cheerleader for details.  Get those teams together and get your names on the board!!  

 

On Thursday we will be having our evacuation drill.  Please return your yellow sheets to the office or to one of your teachers if you will or will not be participating that afternoon.

 

Other college visits that have been scheduled are:  Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing will be here for a college visit on October 18th at 1:00pm. 

 

The BRHS STEM club is holding a STEM Spooktacular on Thursday, Oct 7th from 5pm – 7:45 in the high school Science room.  Use their QR code to sign up for a tour start time.  A $5 donation per person is suggested, but not required.

 

Last Wednesday FFA members attended the Section 16 Land Use event and the results are in! The High School Team placed 6th overall with Rachel Light placing 10th overall in the event. Other team members included Kaleb Southern, Morgan Drozs, Brenna Friel, and Kallee Steinkamp. Congratulations!

 

Friday night the Boys Football team WON 28-12 against Metro East!  Keep fighting team!  Friday night is a HOME game against Milford at 7pm!  Come out and root them on to a WIN!

 

Congrats to the Varsity Volleyball team for defeating Tri County last night by scores of 22-25, 25-22, 25-17.  Leading the Varsity was Payton Burns with 20 digs and 6 kills followed by Gracie Shaffer with 24 assists and 3 aces, Alexis Wike with 18 digs and Jaclyn Pearl with 9 kills. The Knights are now 25-3 and travel to Villa Grove in the LPC tourney play and play the 3rd seeded Heritage Hawks.  Go Lady Knights!

 

Our awesome Blue Ridge Band on Saturday placed 3rd at the Barry Apple Festival Parade and Guard was 1st place!  Way to go Band!

 

The Girls Golf team competed in Sectional play yesterday in Auburn and finished well and Sr. Dylan Kelley represented Blue Ridge in individual play.  Way to go Knights!

 

Wednesday is Soccer Pink out and Flood the Field game! We host Fisher/GCMS at HOME at 4:30!  Come out and support our soccer kids!  It’ll be an epic game!

 

After school detentions this week are in the office.  Lunch detentions TODAY are with Mrs. Lacy and Thursday with Ms. Villwock.

 

There has been a change in the lunch schedule today due to us not getting in the Bosco Sticks.  Today’s lunch is Cheesy Hamburger Helper or a Turkey Sandwich
