Attention Juniors, Sophomores and Freshman …. please complete the survey that was sent to your emails from Ms. Villwock about an ESports team that could possibly be here at Blue Ridge soon but you need to fill out the survey so we will know if you are interested!  Please do this TODAY!  See Doug Kramer in the IT office for more information!

 

It’s Yearbook ordering time!  Please order your 2021-2022 yearbook now.  The orders are due February 28th at a cost of $50.  They will arrive in the fall after school starts.  Please give your check to Ms. Thacker.

 

Boys track practice will meet in the Library TODAY after school in street clothes.  Please see Coach Kramer today if you have any questions.

 

It’s FFA Week!  See the table in the commons to sign up for the games TODAY!

 

  • Tuesday, dress up day is USA and we’ll be running a 2:20 class schedule with an assembly in the gym until 3:10.  We have 2 state FFA officers visiting and games that will be played. FFA Cookout for Lunch for the FFA members.
  • Wednesday is dress up day with a Beach or Hawaiian theme.  The FFA Officer team will be visiting the 8th graders. There will also be an FFA meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 23rd with the committees meeting at 6:30 and the chapter meeting at 7 pm. Wear your best SCHOOL APPROPRIATE Hawaiian/Beach attire to the meeting.
  • Thursday is Case IH vs John Deere Day (wear red or green and show us which one you prefer) with a College Career day in the new gym.
  • Friday is Blue and Gold day with the FFA Barnyard in the Ag Shop from 9am – 2pm.

Congratulations to the Varsity Scholastic Bowl team for winning the 11 school Masonic Sectional this past Saturday at Macon Meridian.  In tough pool play competition the Knights were victorious over Pawnee 220-190, Central A and M 270-160, Nokomis 250-90 and two contentious matches over Cornerstone 210-200 and Sangamon Valley 220-210 to survive pool play.  In the afternoon the knights dispatched the hosts, Meridian by the score of 240-140 and finally defeated Cornerstone once again by the score of 200-140 to capture the Masonic Sectional championship.  Leading the Knights in toss-ups was Sami Boogren with 23 followed by Conner Otto with 10, Aiden Soliday and A.J. Johnson with 8 a piece and Alexis Wike with 7.  The  44-12 Knights are one of ten class A sectional winners to advance to the Masonic State Championship on March 5th at Bloomington H.S.  Go Knights!
