Yearbook orders are due May 27th!  Cost is $55.  Please give your check to Ms. Thacker.

 

Part time Lifeguard and Pool Cashier summer positions are available at the Farmer City pool this summer!  Applications are in the office!

 

FCA will be meeting TODAY at lunch in Mr. Minteer's room. This month we'll be talking about who Jesus is, what it means to be a Christian, and how to have peace in this crazy world.  All are welcome so come join us for a piece of pizza, snacks, and for some peace at lunch time!

 

Prom and Post Prom tickets will be sold in the commons during lunch TODAY thru Friday!   Prom tickets are $15 each and Post Prom tickets are $10 each. Tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door! Purchase tickets at the same time for those walking together for Promenade! If you are not here during lunch, please see Mrs. Lagle to purchase your tickets either before or after school. Non-BRHS Guest forms must be signed and returned by Friday May 6.  Prom t-shirt’s are $15 and due TODAY.  See Mrs. Lagle.

 

If you will be 18 years old before November 8th, you should make sure that you are registered to vote.  We will have an opportunity to do that here at Blue Ridge High School during lunch on Thursday, April 28.  You will need a form of ID, your driver's license number or the last 4 digits of your social security number.  It's that simple.  See Mr. Easter if you have any questions.

 

Seniors-all library books are due back by Monday, May 2nd.  All fines paid after May 1st will need to be paid by cash.

There will be an informational meeting at city hall on May 5th at 4pm for all pool workers.  This will be your opportunity to turn in employment paperwork and sign up for scheduling.

 

The April Athletes of the month are:

Boys Track- Matt Schumacher - After a year off from Track and Field, Matt has come back to throw shot and discus.  He has also found a new role as a sprinter.  Matt is currently second in varsity points for the boys this season.

 

Girls Track-Alexis Wike -  Alexis is the varsity girls track point leader at an astonishing 173 to date.  Alexis participates in the HJ (holds the school record), 100, 200 and 400.  Alexis also participates in club track during the off seasons to better herself.  

 

Baseball-Dylan Kelley - Offensively, he led the team in batting average and hits in April. Defensively, he led the team in strikeouts while pitching with 30 strikeouts and only 7 walks in April. Dylan shows great leadership skills daily whether it be during practice, games, or on the bus to and from an away game

 

Softball-Cassie Zimmerman who currently leads the team with .492 batting average as well as 8th in the conference behind some big hitters.  Fielding she is currently leading the team and 10th in the conference.  She has also stepped up and took on pitching, learning and growing in this sport to help assist where she can when our other pitchers were hurt.

Congratulations to our April Athletes of the month!

 

 

It was a big win last night as the Boys Baseball team took down Heritage 15-0 for the first conference win of the season. Ben Wallace threw a complete game, no hitter, while racking up 10 strikeouts on the day. Ben also led the team on offense with 2 RBI's. Today’s game is at 4:30 at South Park vs Hartsburg-Emden.

 

The next HOME Softball game is TODAY at 4:30 against Delavan.  Senior night is Friday night at HOME versus Arcola at 4:30.
