BRHS DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS
for Friday, February 7th
On Monday, the Celebrations Committee is honoring English students who have met certain criteria in their classes. Those students will be having donuts during the passing period between 1st and 2nd hour in the Commons. You will be given a pass verifying you should receive the reward from your teacher.
On Tuesday, the Celebrations Committee is honoring Math students who have met certain criteria in their classes with a Pizza lunch in the old gym. Passes for pizzas will be handed out on Tuesday to those students. A HUGE thank you to the Math and English teachers and the Celebration Committee for this reward to our students.
The Venus & Mars Ladies Choice dance on Saturday, February 15th from 7:00-10:00 pm in the Old Gym and guest dance forms are available in the office! Tickets will be sold during lunch next week in the Commons. Ticket prices will be $4 in advance or $5 at the door. Also, a Venus & Mars contest will be held and voting will take place next week, also during lunch with votes costing 5 cents each. Winners of the contest will be crowned at the dance. Students who wish to participate in the contest should see Ms. Loop.
Key Club is sponsoring a “Keep Warm Drive”. Bring your donations of new hats, gloves, scarves, or socks to the library now and the entire month of February. If you donate items, you can receive $1 off your library fines! What a DEAL!!
Attention all Football Players - there will be an important meeting for students interested in playing football at 8am on Monday in the computer lab. The meeting will last about 10-15 minutes.
The next FFA Meeting is Monday, February 10th with committees at 6:30 and the chapter meeting at 7pm.
Freshman Orientation will be on Tuesday, February 12th during the school day. A parent meeting will then be held in the evening at 7pm in the Commons. 8th grade students may come to the evening session if they wish to.
Local Scholarship packets are available for BRHS seniors! All local scholarships are due by April 1st. Packets can be picked up in English classrooms, the Counseling office, and the main office.
Key Club is having a Pet Contest in February! Bring in a picture of your pet as soon as possible to Mrs. Davis’s room to win $10 to the Snack Shack! Help us bring awareness to animals in need! This contest will be from Feb. 18th – Feb. 20th. Voting is free and will take place during lunch.
We will have a Teacher’s Institute Day Next Friday, February 14th and NO SCHOOL on Monday, Feb. 17th!
FFA Week will be the last week of February and we will begin the week with a 2:20 Schedule with an ALL School Assembly after 2:20 in the New Gym.
The Knight to Remember Talent Show and meal will be held on Friday, February 28th here at the school.
Today the Boys Varsity Basketball team plays at Cumberland High School beginning at 6:00.
