FFA Strawberries will be here on March 4th and will be ready to pick up at 2:30 pm in the Ag room. Stay tuned to more info as we get closer to the date.

This week, in honor of National FFA Week we are holding a Trivia Game every day during announcements.

Wednesday’s FFA question’s and answers were … 

  • What small farm animal can run up to 9 miles per hour?
  • How many yards of fabric does it take to make one FFA jacket?
  • The answer is a chicken!  It can run up to 9 miles an hour. Congrats to Hannah Day who got the chicken answer right. 
  • it takes an average of 1.6 yards of fabric to make an FFA Jacket. Congrats to Kolby Kramer for answering the Jacket question.

Here are the questions for TODAY:

  •  How much wool does it take to make one baseball?
  •  How many members are in the National FFA Organization?

Tune in on Friday morning for the answers!  If you know the answers, email blueridgeffa@blueridge18.org.  Be the first to answer and you could win!!

  Feel free to participate and use the hashtag #BlueRidgeFFA to join in on the FFA Week fun.  Up-share your pictures on social media to be counted in the FFA Week drawing.

TODAY’s theme is "Hunting for your Future" with camo and orange, be sure to sign up for the college fair tonight at 5pm if you haven't already done so. Hidden around the hallways and in the Ag Room are 10 FFA Emblems numbered 1-10. If you find it bring it to an FFA Officer for a chance in the FFA Drawing.

FFA Members- Friday after school we will need help cleaning up the hallways. Be sure to help out if you can.

 Friday is BLUE & GOLD day. Be sure to see any FFA Officer or Ms. Meisner when you dress up to get in the FFA Week drawing. 

 Dewey’s Drive-In has applications for employment in the office.  Dewey’s opens April 1st!

 Seniors, FASFA is a graduation requirement this year. You will need to return a waiver to show you have completed your FASFA application, or a non-participation form to exempt you. One of these waivers is due back in order to receive your diploma. Please check the counseling google classroom or see Mrs. Coy for a waiver packet.

 

Ms. Miller's Biology classes are holding a March Mammal Madness competition! Starting Feb 25th, stop by Ms. Miller's classroom for a tournament bracket and more information! The top three bracket predictions will win a prize. Anyone (including staff) may participate and try for the prize.

 

The yearbook class will need 2 senior pics, 2 baby pics and 2 other pictures of you growing up by Apr. 1st.  You can send these digitally to athacker@blueridge18.org or bring them to the school to be scanned! 

 

Seniors - Local scholarship packets are now available in the Library!  Packets are for any Senior interested in applying. 

March 2nd after school will be team sports photos.  Times are as follows:

The 3rd Annual "Hunting for your Future" College Fair hosted by Blue Ridge FFA has gone virtual! See posters around the school to sign up for the Virtual College Fair on February 25th, 2021 at 5 pm. See any FFA Officer or Ms. Meisner for any information. 

 

The Blue Ridge FFA is hosting their 1st Annual Barnyard Stampede Virtual 5k. See posters March 19th-28th. $25 for Blue Ridge Students and Employees and FFA Alumni, $30 for other participants. Sign up and pay with any FFA Member or by the QR code on the posters by March 5th to receive a medal and shirt. 

 

For those interested in volleyball, please see Coach Miles as the first practice starts on Monday, March 8th.  

Soccer season will start soon!  Practices begin 3-1 with games set to begin 3-10. 

If you are interested in playing soccer, please see Mrs. Flannell in room 201 as soon as possible!!
