Yearbook orders are due May 27th!  Cost is $55.  Please give your check to Ms. Thacker.

 

Part time Lifeguard and Pool Cashier summer positions are available at the Farmer City pool this summer!  Applications are in the office!

 

 

Prom and Post Prom tickets will be sold in the commons during lunch TODAY thru Friday 29th.   Prom tickets are $15 each and Post Prom tickets are $10 each. Tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door! Purchase tickets at the same time for those walking together for Promenade! If you are not here during lunch, please see Mrs. Lagle to purchase your tickets either before or after school. Non-BRHS Guest forms must be signed and returned by Friday May 6.  Prom t-shirt forms are available in the office or from Mrs. Lagle. They are $15 and orders are due by Wednesday, April 27th .

 

If you will be 18 years old before November 8th, you should make sure that you are registered to vote.  We will have an opportunity to do that here at Blue Ridge High School during lunch on Thursday, April 28.  You will need a form of ID, your driver's license number or the last 4 digits of your social security number.  It's that simple.  See Mr. Easter if you have any questions.

 

Seniors-all library books are due back by Monday, May 2nd.  All fines paid after May 1st will need to be paid by cash.

There will be an informational meeting at city hall on May 5th at 4pm for all pool workers.  This will be your opportunity to turn in employment paperwork and sign up for scheduling.

 

Congrats to the varsity lady knights track team for winning the  5 team coed track meet at LeRoy last night.  Alexis Wike and Phoebe Reynolds swept all four of their events.  Alexis won the HJ, 100, 200 and 400 while Phoebe won the 100HH, 300IH, TJ and LJ.  Morgan Drozs PR'd in the shot and disc as well as Gracie Shaffer in the disc. Sami Boogren placed 2nd in the 800 with a PR time while Brenna Friel placed 2nd in the 1600.  The 4x800 team of Gracie Shaffer, Brenna Friel, Morgan Drozs and Sami Boogren took first as well.  Good job lady knights track and field!

 

Boys Track was at LeRoy yesterday for a cold and windy meet.  Despite the conditions, there were some bright spots. Cole Pemble jumped a Personal Record of 21 feet 11 inches in the long jump to win the event. He is only 5 inches shy of the school record. Cadin Dozier also got a personal record in the event.  Kyle Watson ran for a personal record 2nd place finish in the 3200m run, destroying his previous record by over a minute and a half.  Matt Schumacher finished 1st and 3rd in the Discus and Shot Put respectively.  Good Job Knights! --

On Saturday the Girl’s Softball team came away with two big wins versus Decatur Eisenhower.  The first game ended with 12-2 victory.  Blue Ridge racked up 12 hits with Alexis Wike, Ashlyn Voyles, Farrah Michaels, and Cassie Zimmerman all managing multiple hits.  Alexis Wike went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Blue Ridge Lady Knights in hits.  Lillian Enger took the win striking out 7.  Second game ended in a 19-4 victory for the lady Knights.  Blue Ridge racked up 12 hits in the game.  Cassie Zimmerman, Alexis Young, Ashlyn Voyles, and Farrah Michaels each collected multiple hits for Blue Ridge.  Cassie Zimmerman led the team with four hits in four at bats and knocking in 3 RBIs.  Alexis Wike was credited with the victory going 2 and 2/3 innings allowing 2 hits and striking out 2.

 

The Lady Knights put up seven runs in the first on its way to a 12-1 victory over Heritage on Monday.  The big inning was thanks to doubles by Ava Jamison and Lillian Enger, a walk by Ellie Schleiper, a single by Lily Summers, and a fielder's choice by Cassie Zimmerman.  Ashlyn Voyles also went deep for her 8th home run of the season. Lily Enger, Ashlyn Voyles, and Cassie Zimmerman each collected two hits to lead the Lady Knights.  Schleiper earned the victory in the pitcher's circle going five innings, allowing one run on six hits and striking out six.  Next game is home Thursday at 430 against Delevan.  Senior night is Friday versus Arcola.
