There will be a Student Council meeting every Tuesday beginning on Sept. 5 until Sept. 19 during lunch in the HS Library to finalize Homecoming plans. Class officers and Student Council officers please plan on attending.
The Snack Shack is officially open in room 212. Please remember only to enter if the classroom door is open. If the door is closed, the Snack Shack is closed. If you would like to have a voice in what items are for sale in the Snack Shack, use the QR code on the slide in the commons to share your opinion.
The Haunted Forest will be October 13th & 14th and October 20th & 21st (Rain date weekend October 27th & 28th). Volunteer opportunities include: Pumpkin carving Monday, October 9th - Wednesday, October 11th from 6:30-8:30 at South Park. Friday and Saturday Event Volunteers are needed for: Line attendants, Event Guides, Loading/Unloading the hayrack, Setup/Clean up, and more. Saturday October 14th and October 21st from 2:00-7:00 pm Matinee Volunteers are needed for set up, games, barrel train, and clean-up.
The girls golf team played at home last night against Clinton and Gibson City and placed second with a team score of 220. Lily Enger led our team with a score of 45. Great job, ladies!
The boys played against Oakwood and placed first with a score of 200. Gavin Friel and Caden Brown both led the boys with a score of 49. Keep up the good work!
The Lady Knight varsity volleyball team defeated Deland Weldon last night 25-21; 25-20. The knights were led by Phoebe Reynolds with 7 kills, 5 aces and 9 digs; Alissa Edwards with 15 assists, 5 digs and 3 kills; Lexi Phelps with 5 kills and Ava Hammer 12 digs and 2 assists. The knights are 3 and 5 on the season. The JV team lost in two.
BRHS Soccer played last night at home versus ALAH. It was a long hard fought game but the Knights pulled out a victory and won with a score of 1-0. Scoring for the knights was Zach Lewis unassisted. Devin Wrestler had 6 saves.
Congratulations to the Varsity Knights Football team on big win over the Cardinals of St. Anne. A host of Knights contributed to the 30-6 victory. The Varsity Knights will be in action again next Friday against the Knights of Metro East in Edwardsville. Let's Go Knights!
Upcoming college visits: Millikin University September 7th, Midwest Tech September 11th, Eastern Illinois University September 13th, and Parkland College September 20th. Please see Ms. Clayton or Ms. Hieronymus for a pass. You must have a pass to attend the meeting.
