School yearbooks are on sale now through Jan 26th for $50 each  at www.jostensyearbooks.com.  On January 27th they will go up to $55 each.

 

Seniors, please submit your senior slideshow pictures for graduation.

Ms. Thacker’s yearbook class needs 2 baby pictures, 2 senior pictures and 2 other pictures growing up before March 1st.  You can bring them in to be scanned or email them to Ms. Thacker.

 

Art club activity is postponed tonight, check Sports You for more details.  The permission slips for the Rembrandt Field Trip are due back by 2/6.  If you haven't received one yet check with Mrs. Ramirez.

Do you want to spend some time in Wonderland without that whiny girl called Alice? The Mad Hatter and the March Hare are always having tea parties. What happens when Time comes for tea? Chaos, time travel, monsters, and more! Auditions for The Mad Tea Party will be held this Friday, 1/26 in the library from 3:30-6:00. It's going to be an amazing adventure! Don't miss it! If you can't make auditions, please see Ms. Yeagle when you have a bit of time!

 

Congratulations to Doug Kramer for being recently retired from the Illinois National Guard and for his 6 years of duty.  Job well done, Doug and thank you for your service!


Last Thursday at Sangamon Valley, the BRHS varsity Scholastic Bowl team defeated Sangamon Valley by a score of 370-70 then being down 10-80, the varsity came back to defeat a formidable Sullivan team by the score of 240-220 to improve their overall record to 19-7 (5-0) in the LPC. The JV was equally impressive on the evening defeating S.V. 290-100 and Sullivan 180-110 to also improve their overall record to 5-0 in the LPC.  Leading the varsity in toss-ups was AJ Johnson with 14 followed by Indra Nolan with 6, Elias Nolan with 3, Broden Soliday with 2 and Devin Wrestler with 1. The JV was championed by Ivy Whitehouse with 9 toss-ups. Many good buzzes and bonus parts by all. Congratulations Knights!

 

Congrats to the varsity scholastic bowl team for winning the 18 team standard division championship, going 8-1 on the day at the 24th annual Loyola Ultima Tournament!  The Knights defeated Walter Payton D and C, Truman Middle College, Lincoln Way C, Maine East B, Carl Sandburg C, Bloomington B and DePaul Prep B with their only loss coming to Loyola B.  Congrats to AJ Johnson for being the 2nd top scorer in the standard division.  Leading the varsity knights in toss-ups was AJ Johnson with 51 followed by Indra Nolan with 22, Broden Soliday with 11, Devin Wrestler with 7, Ivy Whitehouse with 5 and Elias Nolan with 2.  The V and JV teams are back in LPC action tonight hosting Arcola, Okaw Valley and ALAH at 4:30 pm.  Go Knights! 

 

The Boys basketball team plays tonight at 6:30 at Arthur in the LPC tournament.  Good Luck Knights.
