Seniors, please submit your senior slideshow pictures for graduation.

Ms. Thacker’s yearbook class needs 2 baby pictures, 2 senior pictures and 2 other pictures growing up before March 1st.  You can bring them in to be scanned or email them to Ms. Thacker.

 

There will be a Dungeons and Dragons club meeting for any students interested in checking out Dungeons and Dragons this Thursday, February 15th in Mr. Minteer's room from 3:30 - 4:30 pm. Come check it out to join in on the fun!

Environmental Science students are hosting a Mural Art Competition! Blue Ridge High School students will be able to submit their artwork to become a mural on the walls of Blue Ridge High School. The mural theme is Nature. Show your creativity and love for nature and email your artwork entry to Ms. Small by THIS FRIDAY, February 16th.

Sign up during lunch for Student Council “Sweets for your Sweetie” for $2 each!  They can also be purchased for $2 on Tuesday and Wednesday during lunch and have them available to anyone until they run out!

Sign up during lunch for a chance to be chosen to play Tic-Tac-Toe during the boys basketball halftime Thursday, 2/15.    

The yearly band fundraiser will be held on Friday, Feb. 23rd here at the high school.  Dinner will be served from 5-7 pm and the talent show and silent auction starting at 7:15.  See any band member for tickets or you can purchase them in the high school office.

Mark your calendars!  A Sadie Hawkins dance will be held on Saturday, February 24th from 7-9pm, hosted by the student council.  Sign-ups are being held now during lunch and if you will be bringing a student from another school, the paperwork is in the office and due back next Monday, Feb. 19th.

On Saturday at Lincoln in the 2nd annual Railer Rumble to Knights performed well in the am defeating Effingham B 230-120 and Springfield B 310-100 then lost a close match to Warrensburg-Latham 215-220 but rebounded to defeat Piasa B 230-30 and Riverton 395-45 to win their pool.  In the championship flight in the afternoon the knights tested their mighty metal but came up short losing all three contests to perennial powerhouse programs Piasa A, Dunlap and Centennial to round out the day at 4-4, placing 7th out of 24 teams competing.  Congrats to AJ Johnson for being the 2nd top scorer of the tourney averaging 83 points per match!  Leading the Knights in toss-ups was AJ Johnson with 45 followed by Indra Nolan with 18, Broden Soliday with 7, then Ivy Whitehouse and Elias Nolan with 4 each.  Way to go Blue Ridge varsity academic question and answer team!
