Student Council will be meeting TODAY during lunch in the library.

 

Attention:  Winter athletes see Ms. Thacker to proof your grandparent photos by Wednesday.

 

Tuesday, 3/19 will be the Student Council Basket Auction during lunch in the Commons.  We’ll have silent auction items to bid on.   The bidder with the highest bid on Tuesday will win the auction, then on 3/20 the bidders will be presented their baskets.

 

There will be a Bass Fishing meeting this Wednesday, March 20th at 12:30 in the library.  Anyone interested should attend the meeting.

 

Day Camp Leaders are needed this summer at Allerton Park in Monticello.  You must be 16 and have a valid driver’s license to apply.  Forms are in the office.

 

The Farmer City pool is looking for workers this summer.  Applications are in the office and should be returned to City Hall soon.

 

Parkland College will be here this Friday, March 22nd at 9am.   Please see Ms. Clayton or Ms. Hieronymus for a pass.

 

Congratulations to Senior AJ Johnson for being named to the class A second team ALL-STATE!.  This is a tremendous accomplishment for AJ being recognized amongst the elite scholastic bowl players throughout the state especially in a two class system where only 10 make first team all-state and 10 make second team all-state.  AJ has put in MANY hours these past two years leading up to this accomplishment and with recognition to be held at the IHSSBCA Annual Banquet, which will be held from 6-9 PM on the evening of Saturday, April 20th at the Bone Student Center on the campus of ISU in Normal.  AJ's individual accomplishments are below.  AJ has been the 4th, second team all state; along with 3 first team all-state scholastic bowlers to be recognized from Blue Ridge in the past 12 years!    AJ's individual accomplishments are:

·        Top scorer at the Rockford Auburn Harvard Fall Classic Standard Division            (10-7-23)

·        Top 5 scorer at the Hendricks Invite (11-18-23)

·        2nd top scorer (18 teams) at Loyola Ultima standard division (1-20-24)

·        Top scorer at the highly competitive Winnebago Invite (1-27-24) 63.3 points per game

·        9th top scorer at the Homewood Flossmoor Turnabout (2-3-24)

·        2nd top scorer/24 teams at the Lincoln Railer Rumble, averaging over 83 points per game

·        2nd top scorer in the LPC with 95 toss-ups
