School yearbooks are on sale now for $55 each  at www.jostensyearbooks.com

Seniors:  your graduation caps/gowns and invitations will be delivered on Tuesday morning to the school.

Attention Juniors and Seniors:   Prom and Post Prom tickets will be sold during lunch in the Commons April 17-May 3.  If you are not here during lunch please see Ms. Lagle before or after school.  Prom tickets cost $20 each and Post Prom tickets cost $10 each. Tickets must be purchased in advance.  NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR! If you are taking an underclassman or non-Blue Ridge guest, forms must be approved BEFORE you purchase tickets.  Guest forms are due by Monday, April 22!

Juniors:  Tuesday morning will be the ISBE Science Assessment.  All juniors should bring their charged chrome books and headphones with them to the Moore Gym at 8:20.  Testing will take about 3 hours.  Students will return to class in the first half of 4th period. 

On Saturday, 4/27 the Garden Club will have a work day in the square.  We start at 9am.  Any help would be appreciated.

 

At the end of 6th period TODAY we will be having club pictures taken at 1:30 for the yearbook.  All club members please report to the new gym TODAY at 1:30.

 

Students, if you are walking by a door to the building, please DO NOT OPEN the door!

There is a summer reading program available in the office for 9th and 10th graders.  Please see the form in the office if you are interested.

Guest prom forms are available in the office.  Also, if you are taking an underclassmen BRHS student be sure you get that form as well.

Congrats Blue Ridge on tying for 1st place in the EIU LOVE for the Arts competition! We also had numerous individual winners:  

Shelby Whisman placed 2nd in Beginning Drawing

AJ Johnson placed 3rd in Advanced Painting

Rachel Light placed 2nd in Mixed Media

AJ Johnson won 1st in Digital Arts

Breanin Flannel won 1st and Rachel Light placed 2nd in Sculpture

Breanin Flannell placed 2nd in Ceramics

Crystal Chambers placed 2nd and Breanin Flannel placed 3rd in Functional Arts

Congratulations students!  You've worked hard and it shows!

Boys track traveled to Prairie Central on Saturday coming away with a 4th place team finish out of a field of 10 teams.  The Knights were led by Matt Schumacher finishing 1st in the Shot Putt with a season record throw of 14.23m.  Cole Pemble had two second place finishes in the Long Jump and the 100m dash.  Many athletes had season best performances along with personal records.  The Knights will be in action again at Westville on Thursday.

Congrats to the lady knights track and field team for placing 2nd out of 10 teams at the Prairie Central Invite on Saturday.  Alexis Winstead placed 1st in the 100 as well as Alissa Edwards in the TJ.  Ariahna Brown placed 2nd in the 400 as well as Kelly Weiss in the 1600, both with PR times.  The 4x100 team of Alexis Winstead, Alissa Edwards, Rylee Burnett and Ariahna Brown placed 2nd with a PR time.  Rylee Burnett placed 2nd in the TJ as well as the 4x800 team of Jasmine Petmecky, Indra Nolan, Karly Warner and Kelly Weiss.  Jasmine Petmecky placed 2nd in the 3200 with a PR time.  Cassie Zimmerman PR'd in shot and disc as well as Indra Nolan in the Disc to capture 5th.  Cede Manuel vaulted herself to a 3rd place finish.  All in all it was a great team effort.  Way to go lady knights track and field.

Varsity Baseball plays at Villa Grove at 4:30pm on Monday.  Please dismiss the team at 2:20 with the bus leaving at 2:35.

Varsity Girls Track meet is at Georgetown - Ridge Farm at 4pm tonight.  Please dismiss the girls track team at 1:55 with the bus leaving at 2:10.

Varsity Softball plays away on Monday at ALAH at 4:30pm.  Please dismiss the softball team at 2:20 with the bus leaving at 2:35.
