Here are today’s daily student announcements:
Parkland College has an upcoming workshop next week on Sept 26th for students interested in a career as an Electrician or HVAC professional. Students should sign up for this workshop in their google classroom. Students are allowed to transport themselves, but if a student needs school transportation, please first register for the workshop (because space is limited), and then contact Ms. Hieronymus to see how we can solve your transportation needs. If you need help with registering for the workshop, see Ms. Hieronymus. Space is limited, so sign up quickly! More information is in your Counseling google classroom!
Student Council will have a meeting TODAY during lunch in the library. Homecoming activities will be the discussion.
STEM club meeting at lunch tomorrow (9/17) in the chemistry room.
A new sport is coming --- IHSA wrestling here at Blue Ridge. We are starting a wrestling co-op program with Deland-Weldon. The coaches will be here Thursday Sept. 18th during lunch in the library, if you would be interested in learning more about the program.
Athletes of the Month of September for fall sports were nominated by their coaches for being a good representative of what BRHS is all about. They are as follows: Cheyanne Smith - Cheerleading, Drake Hardesty - Boys Golf, Mercedes Manuel - Girls Golf, Karson Carter - Soccer, Kelly Weiss – Volleyball and Warren Tolen for Football. Congratulations everyone!
Congratulations to our Student Exemplary Knights for September, Lexi Winstead and Karly Warner. They will be recognized at the school board meeting on Wednesday.
The next FFA Meeting is September 24th at 6:30 pm. We are having a fun Chapter LTS night. Come and spend time growing as a leader, learning about the different committees, and have fun! We will be having a taco bar that night! Sign up in the ag room!
Tonight we have a Boys Golf Scramble at Saybrook with Tri-Valley at 1pm. Bus time is 11:45.
Also at 1pm is Girls Golf Invite at LeRoy Country Club with bus time is at noon.
Tonight is an away Volleyball game at Shiloh, Varsity game only, at 6pm. Bus time is 4:15pm
