It’s time for your daily announcements:
Parkland College has an upcoming workshop next week on Sept 26th for students interested in a career as an Electrician or HVAC professional. Students should sign up for this workshop in their google classroom. Students are allowed to transport themselves, but if a student needs school transportation, please first register for the workshop (because space is limited), and then contact Ms. Hieronymus to see how we can solve your transportation needs. If you need help with registering for the workshop, see Ms. Hieronymus. Space is limited, so sign up quickly! More information is in your Counseling google classroom!
There will be a STEM club meeting at lunch TODAY in the chemistry room.
Art Club will be TODAY in the Art room until 4:15.
It is time to start the Knight Buddies program for the 25-26 school year! The Knight Buddies program is a one-on-one mentoring program between BRHS and Schneider Elementary students. High School students volunteer during their study hall times. For more information, and to apply to be a Buddy, see the post in the Counseling Google Classroom. The application is due on Sept 25th.
An ISU college rep will be here on Thursday during 7th hour in the Commons. See Ms. Hieronymus for a pass to the event.
Thrive will meet Thursday during lunch in the art room. Lunch will be provided but feel free to bring your own lunch too and join us for some good community and conversation to help you Thrive!
Dungeons and Dragons club will meet Thursday after school in Mr. Minteer's room from 3:30 - 5 pm. Come join in the adventure!
A new sport is coming --- IHSA wrestling here at Blue Ridge. We are starting a wrestling co-op program with Deland-Weldon. The coaches will be here Thursday during lunch in the library, if you would be interested in learning more about the program.
The next FFA Meeting is September 24th at 6:30 pm. We are having a fun Chapter LTS night. Come and spend time growing as a leader, learning about the different committees, and have fun! We will be having a taco bar that night! Sign up in the ag room!
Tonight is JV Boys Golf at the Blue Ridge Invite @ home starting at 3:30pm. Good Luck Golfers!
