Here are your daily announcements:
It is time to start the Knight Buddies program for the 25-26 school year! The Knight Buddies program is a one-on-one mentoring program between BRHS and Schneider Elementary students. High School students volunteer during their study hall times. For more information, and to apply to be a Buddy, see the post in the Counseling Google Classroom. The application is due on Sept 25th.
Thrive will meet TODAY during lunch in the art room. Lunch will be provided but feel free to bring your own lunch too and join us for some good community and conversation to help you Thrive!
Dungeons and Dragons club will meet TONIGHT after school in Mr. Minteer's room from 3:30 - 5 pm. Come join in the adventure!
Attention all FFA members: If you have FFA official dress, please wear them to school on Friday and those that do not have official dress wear a Blue Ridge shirt or hoodie for a chapter photo for national FFA on Friday after 3rd hour. Any questions, see Ms. Meisner.
The Class of 26 mums that were ordered will be delivered on Friday, September 26th!
HS FFA Horse Judging team competed yesterday and were 9th overall. The Jr. High team was 2nd. Way to go Blue Ridge FFA!
IHSA wrestling is here at Blue Ridge! We are starting a wrestling co-op program with Deland-Weldon. The coaches will be here TODAY during lunch in the library, if you would be interested in learning more about the program.
The next FFA Meeting is September 24th at 6:30 pm. We are having a fun Chapter LTS night. Come and spend time growing as a leader, learning about the different committees, and have fun! We will be having a taco bar that night! Sign up in the ag room!
On Saturday, Boys Golf hosted an 18 hole invitational at Woodlawn Country Club. Preston Jiles led our team with a score of 92. Henry Freden was hot on his tail with a score of 93, and Brenden Farris helped with a score 104.On Monday, the boys golf team came in second by one stroke to Cornerstone Christian Academy. Placing first overall with a score of 41 was Preston Jiles. Bentley Choate and Henry Freden were there helping with scores of 46 and 49. Last night, we hosted a 9 hole JV Invitational. Preston placed 2nd overall with a score of 42. Bentley Choate helped out with a score of 50 and Brenden Farris had a score of 54. Way to go Knights!
Tonight is JV & Varsity Girls Volleyball at Calvary Christian Academy at 5:30pm. Bus time is 4:20. Good Luck Lady Knight Volleyball team!
