DAILY STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
for Tuesday, February 9th
FFA Members wanting to participate in Parliamentary Procedure or Conduct of Chapter meetings, practices continue this week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 5:30-6:30pm in the Ag Room.
Attention seniors - a google form has been sent out to your school email asking for your senior quote. It must be appropriate and no more than 2 sentences. Please keep it positive!
There will be a Student Council meeting this Thursday, February 11th from 2:25-2:45 in Ms. Loop’s room. The topic of discussion is the spring workshop for Central Illinois Student Councils. All Student Council members are encouraged to attend.
There will be an International Club meeting in Ms. Loop’s room next Thursday, February 18th, from 2:25-2:45 to discuss a Bollywood theme party later this month. All current International Club members, and any new students wishing to join International Club, are encouraged to attend.
The yearbook class will need 2 senior pics, 2 baby pics and 2 other pictures of you growing up by Apr. 1st. You can send these digitally to athacker@blueridge18.org or bring them to the school to be scanned!
Seniors - Local scholarship packets are now available in the Library! Packets are for any Senior interested in applying.
The next FFA meeting is February 17th here at the High School. Committees start at 6:30 pm and the Chapter meeting is at 7 pm. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
Yesterday FFA members interviewed for State Degree and Star Greenhand. Congratulations to Gracie Shaffer who was 3rd overall for Star Greenhand Farmer, Anna Place who was 2nd overall for Star Greenhand Ag Science, and Kaleb Southern who was selected as the Section 16 Star Greenhand in Ag Placement. We also want to congratulate Abby Bolen for being recommended by the Section 16 Advisors to Illinois FFA for her State FFA Degree.
The Boys Basketball team plays at home tonight at 6pm against Okay Valley. Only parents are allowed to attend the game. You can watch the game on the Blue Ridge CUSD #18 YouTube channel. Go Knights!
