There are extra Post Prom t-shirts in Mrs. Lagle's room.  First come first serve.

 

Subway cards for scholastic bowl are still available.  Please see Mr. Miles if you’d like to purchase one!

 

If you have gotten an application to be a lifeguard this summer at the city pool, please turn them back into City Hall!  Your first day of employment will be May 29th which is coming up soon!

 

The following students need to return soccer uniforms to Mrs Flannell:

After May 1st, all Senior fees must be paid in CASH in the Library or Credit Card in the office.

All Students:  please return your library books TODAY.  You will be charged for lost books if they are not returned.  Fines are now being charged for late books! 

If you are interested in working for the school in the technology department over the summer, please provide a resume and letter of interest to Mr. Kramer as soon as possible. Computer and networking experience is recommended.

TONIGHT, NHS will be held before Honors night at 6pm and Honors night at 7pm.  NHS members may opt to stay for awards night.  Please thank all of the presenters for their generous contribution to your education!  All other students will be able to view on the Blue Ridge YouTube channel and underclassmen awards will be given out in class on Friday by the teachers.

On May 11th will be the state Science test in the morning for Juniors only.

May 12th the new STEM club will be held during lunch in the Biology Room.

Wednesday, May 12th  will be spring sports photos the schedule is as follows:

Softball: 2:30: on the softball field

Girls track: 3:00 practice field 

Boys track 3:30 practice field

Baseball 4:00 at south park or practice field 

 

For those students who received their 1st COVID shots, the 2nd shot has been set up for next week May 13th.  Please turn in your signed permission forms to the office by then!

Congratulations to Sophomore Gracie Shaffer for being one of seven players nominated to the LPC volleyball 1st team.  Congrats to Senior Nadia Beadle for being one of eight players nominated to the LPC second team.  Of 12 conference schools for volleyball, both of these accolades are great achievements for the players and Blue Ridge volleyball.  Congratulations and Go Lady Knights!

 

Avery Place pitched 5 innings, fanning 9 along the way to her 2nd W of the season. She added 3 hits and 2 RBI. Abby Bolen, Lexi Young, Ashlyn Voyles, and Farrah Michaels drove in 2 runs a piece.  Blue Ridge Lady Knights won the game 13 – 3.

After school detentions this week are with Ms. Miller.  Lunch detentions are in the office  today.
