Congratulations to Macey Hamm for being selected as the May Student of the Month!

 

Volleyball camp forms are due by Thursday and a summer volleyball meeting will be held at 2:20 in the new gym after school Wednesday, May 26th.

 

Don’t forget your librarian!  Please pay your library fees TODAY

Color Guard Clinics will be held TODAY and Thursday from 4-5pm to join a competitive team that performs with the marching band. Any current freshmen thru juniors are welcome to attend! You do not have to know anything, as we will teach it to you, just wear school appropriate clothes you can move in, tennis shoes, and bring a positive attitude. See Mr. Mitchell in the band room, Ms. Meisner in the Ag Room, or any current member for any questions or more information.

 

The STEM club will be meeting TODAY during lunch in the Biology room.

FCA will meet this week on Thursday in Mr. Minteer's room during lunch time!  Pizza will be provided and come join us for some good conversation and some good snacks as we finish out the school year. We hope to see you there!

Please begin to clean out your lockers and turn in your charged chrome books, cases and chargers to the library when you are done with them.  If anything is wrong with them, you will be charged. 

Auditions for the summer community theatre production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland will be  Thursday and Friday - May 27 & 28 - from 3:30-5:00 and 6:30-8:00 onstage in Moore Gymnasium. No experience needed. Anyone who has completed kindergarten through the oldest of grandparents can join! You only need to come to one audition time. This Friday is the last day to order BRHS Yearbooks.  You can bring a check made out to BRHS yearbook or cash to Ms. Thacker for $50 to order yours.  Only a few extra books will be ordered so make sure you order  yours before Friday!.

 

Cheer open gyms will be held June 8, 9 and 10 from 3:30-5 for anyone wishing to try out for the football and/or basketball seasons next school year.  Tryouts will be held Friday, June 11 starting at 9 am.  Email Coach Woliung or stop by to see her to get on the email list for tryout video links and more info to come.  You won't want to miss these links, as they will get you prepared for open gym week.

Congratulations to the elite high school girls track team for scoring a season high 92 pts last night at Cerro Gordo and placing 2nd out of 5 teams competing.  Congratulations to Alexis Wike for placing 1st and breaking her own school record on the high jump with a jump of 5ft 2.25in.  Alexis also continued her dominance in both the 400 and 200 placing 1st in each event.  Alexis ran a blistering personal record time of 27.8 in the 200m.  Katie Bowns continued her steady improvement in the discus placing 2nd with a personal record throw of 84ft.  Ella Danner Duncan placed 2nd in the 100high hurdles with a personal record time of 20.5 seconds.  The 4by200 team of Gracie Shaffer, Ella Danner-Duncan, Katie Bowns and Phoebe Reynolds placed 2nd with a personal record time of 2 minutes and 4 seconds.  Way to go Lady Knights track and field!  Both track teams will depart at 8:10 am Thursday for their conference meet at Okaw Valley in Bethany.  Good luck Knights track team!

Ms. Villwock has after school detentions in her room this week.  Lunch detentions are today in the office.

Today’s lunch menu is: Chicken Nuggets with Mashed Potatoes or the alternative lunch of a Bagel and Strawberry Cream Cheese.
