The Snack Shack is officially open in Mrs. Ringel's room 212. The Snack Shack offers a variety of snacks and drinks, all $1 or less. It is open during passing periods and whenever the classroom door is open. If the door is closed, please do not enter and come back at another time. All proceeds benefit the life skills department!
The weekly student council meeting will be held TODAY in the library during lunch. Please bring your lunch and we’ll talk about homecoming!
There will be a meeting for anyone interested in scholastic bowl Thursday at 12:35 in Mr. Scurlock’s room.

Student Council held their elections for the upcoming school year. Ashlyn Voyles was elected
President. Lexi Young is Vice-President. Sami Boogren is Secretary. Gracie Shaffer
is Treasurer. The Student Council has already begun planning for homecoming week (Oct. 10-16).

The Piatt County Toy and Gift program application form is in the office for the holidays. This is only for students living in Piatt County. If you are interested, the form must be postmarked by 10/31. See the office for more details!
Parkland College will have a College Career Fair TOMORROW, Wednesday, Sept. 15th from 6-8pm in the Parkland College Donald C. Dodds Jr. Athletic Center and you are invited to attend! This is free event and open to the public. All guests for the College Fair should wear a mask to the event.
The first FFA Meeting is September 22nd at the High School. Please come in the Ag door #10 by the Ag Room behind the School. Committees will meet at 6:30 pm with the Chapter meeting starting at 7:15 pm after the Committees meet. Come and learn about FFA and participate in a fun activity.
Upcoming College visit dates from the Guidance office are:
- Illinois College is coming for a visit on Sep 17th at 8:30am.
- Greenville University will be here for a college visit on Wednesday Sep, 22nd at 9:00am.
- SIUE is coming September 22nd at 2:00pm for a college visit for any Senior.
- SIUC will also be coming to visit Sept 24th at 11:30.
- Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing will be here for a college visit on October 18th at 1:00pm.
See Ms. Hieronymus or Ms. Clayton for a pass for Juniors and Seniors to attend any of these college visits.
Soccer meet for TODAY has been cancelled. There WILL be practice at South Park at 3:45 TODAY.
The Boys Golf team was at a Tri meet at Woodlawn yesterday. Dylan Kelley shot a 47 and Conner Otto shot a 49 for a team placing of 3rd.
Congrats to the Varsity Volleyball team for defeating Deland-Weldon last night 25-12, 25-19 to improve to 16-1. D-W won the JV contest 25-10, 25-23. Leading the Varsity Knights was Gracie Shaffer with 19 assists and 2 aces followed by Alexis Wike with 10 digs and Jamie Wanserski with 8 kills. The Lady Knights are back in conference action tonight in Bethany at Okaw Valley. Go Knights!
After school detentions this week is with Mrs. Wieber in the Art room. Lunch detentions today is with Mr. Minteer in the Math room.
Today’s lunch is a Soft Taco or a Pretzel with cheese. The Concession stand in the Commons will be CLOSED during lunch today.
