for Monday, December 13th

 

 

The next FFA meeting is December 15th with committee meetings at 6:30 and the chapter meeting at 7. We will have our Ugly Christmas Sweater contest, Hot Cocoa, a $5 White Elephant gift exchange, and a gingerbread house decorating contest. Don't forget your mask! 

Jostens will be delivering class jewelry and gift with purchase next Wednesday, December 15th during Lunch.  You may bring cash or check that day or pay online prior to delivery day using the postcard and emailed invoice. Students on the JPAY Payment Plan in good standing will receive their ring!  Any student may place an order for a class ring that day, or use this day as a service day to get your class ring repaired or resized. Jostens will also be taking additional orders for varsity letter jackets and senior graduation orders.

 

Wednesday night FFA members competed in a competitive Section 16 Job Interview Contest and the results are in with all 4 members placing in the top 10 in their respective areas.  In the JV Division, Lily Enger was 4th overall and Lori Weiss was 9th overall at the event while in the Varsity Division Kallee Steinkamp was 4th overall and Kaleb Southern placed 5th overall. Congratulations! 

 

Congrats to the Varsity scholastic bowl team for defeating D-W, Tri-Point 360-100, and Heritage 250-110 to improve their overall record to 9-1 on Wednesday.  Congrats to the JV scholastic bowl team for also going 3-0 in the evening.  Leading Varsity Knights in a balanced scoring attack was Hutch Partlow with 7 followed by Sami Boogren with 6, Conner Otto and A.J. Johnson with 5 each and Aiden Soliday with 1.  Leading the JV was Cadin Dozier with 8 toss-ups.  Way to go Knights!

 

Congrats to the Varsity scholastic bowl team for going 2-1 on the evening Thursday night defeating  Prairie Central 340-20 and Clinton 250-220 then lost to Tri-Point 230-240 to improve their overall record to 11-2.  Congrats to the JV scholastic bowl team for also going 2-1 in the evening defeating Prairie Central and Tri-Point but lost to Clinton to push their record to 5-1.  Leading varsity knights in scoring Sami Boogren with 17 followed by Hutch Partlow with 5, Conner Otto and AJ Johnson with 4 each and Aiden Solidary with 3.  Leading the JV in scoring was Alexis Wike.  Way to go Knights!

Congrats, to the JV scholastic bowl team for placing 4th out of 8 teams in the highly competitive Roanoke-Benson JV tournament this past Saturday. The Knights defeated the hosts Roanoke-Benson, St. Bede and Mendota in their efforts.  The JV was led by Alexis Wike's 18 toss-ups followed by Cadin Dozier with 16, Addison Warsaw with 12 and Dylan Coffey with 4. 

 

Here’s the Christmas joke of the day:  How much does Santa get charged to park his sleigh?   Answer:     Nothing!  It’s on the house!!!
