It is March Mammal Madness season! See Ms. Miller for a bracket and turn it in by March 9th to join the bracket competition!

 

FCA will be meeting TODAY at lunch in Mr. Minteer's room. This month we'll be talking about who Jesus is and what it means to be a Christian, and how to have peace in this crazy world. Join us for a piece of pizza, some snacks, and for some Peace at lunch time. All are welcome!

 

Basketball cheerleaders – please turn in your uniforms anytime this week to Coach Woliung.  Items include basketball top and skirt, body liner, poms and football skirt.

 

Girls and Boys Basketball teams:  please turn in your uniforms and warmups to your coaches by tomorrow!

Today, Thursday and Friday will be sign ups during lunch for the Student Council Sadie Hawkins dance that will be held next Saturday, March 12th from 7-9pm in the old gym.   You may bring an outside guest!  The forms are in the office to fill out and return to the office by Wednesday, March 9th.  All forms must have either a student ID or driver’s license picture attached to their guest form.  If you have any questions, please ask the office!

Dewey’s Drive-In applications for summer employment are available in the office for you to pick up!

Attention Seniors: Yearbook needs 2 baby pictures, 2 senior pictures and 2 other pictures of you growing up by Apr. 1st for the Senior graduation slideshow.  You can send them digitally to athacker@blueridge18.org or bring in hard copies and give them to Grace Coffey to scan.

 

It’s Yearbook ordering time!  Please order your 2021-2022 yearbook now. Cost is $55 until May 27th.  They will arrive in the fall after school starts.  Please give your check to Ms. Thacker.

 

The Fine Arts Expo will be held at the high school next Tuesday, March 8th at 6pm!  Come and enjoy the art projects, Blue Ridge Theatre and Blue Ridge Band students at their finest!

Spring sports photos will be on Mar. 8th after school:

3:30 Girls track at the practice field if weather permits. 

4:00 boys track at the practice field if weather permits. 

4:30: Softball at the girl's diamond if weather permits. 

5:00 baseball at South Park

 

Congratulations to Sami Boogren for being selected to the IHSSBCA All-Sectional Team.  Sami was one of 11 players selected out of 32 schools competing in our class A sectional Scholastic Bowl.  Way to go Sami!
