Part time Lifeguard and Pool Cashier summer positions are available at the Farmer City pool this summer!  We have the applications in the office!

 

Blue Ridge STEM Club is celebrating the earth on Saturday, April 23rd with crafts, snacks and exhibits about our environment!  Admission is 1 recyclable item per person for the event.  Please register in advance for the available time slots.  See the flyers posted around the school or see Ms. Miller or Mr. Scurlock for more information.

 

Prom guest forms are available in the office for prom on May 14th!  They are due back on May 6th.

 

Prom and Post Prom tickets will be sold in the commons during lunch April 18th to 29th.   Prom tickets are $15 each and Post Prom tickets are $10 each. Tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door! Purchase tickets at the same time for those walking together for Promenade. If you are not here during lunch, please see Mrs. Lagle to purchase your tickets either before or after school. Non-BRHS Guest forms must be signed and returned by Friday May 6.  Prom t-shirt forms are available in the office or from Mrs. Lagle. They are $15 and orders are due by Wednesday, April 27.

 

Boys Track had a good day in the field at the meet in Paxton Tuesday afternoon.  The boys were led by Matt Schumacher and Cole Pemble, both finishing first in the Discus and Long Jump respectively.  Matt threw a personal best of 34.38m and Cole jumped 6.32m.  Cole also placed 3rd in the 100m dash with a personal record.  Matt contributed a 3rd in the shot put.  Dawson Raines mustered a 3rd and 4th in the Discus and shot put. Good Job Knights!

 

Despite a 6-run deficit in the second inning, the Lady Knights battled back falling just short, 7-6 to Rantoul on Tuesday.  Blue Ridge Varsity Knights put up five runs with Ashlyn Voyles, Carsyn Stiger, Ava Jamison, and Cassie Zimmerman coming through with RBIs to lead the rally.  Cassie Zimmerman went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Knights in hits.  The lady Knights play again tonight at St. Teresa.  Game time 430. 

Lunch menu for today is: Chicken & Noodles with the alternative of a being a Bagel & Cream Cheese
