Hartsburg took an early lead with 1 run in the second inning, and the Knights answered in the fifth inning with an RBI double from Riley Pruitt scoring Dylan Coffey, and a run from Zach Lewis on an error by the pitcher. In the top of the 7th, Hartsburg got 2 on base by walks, and a 2-RBI double to take the lead back 3-2 going into bottom of the 7th. The game ended with Joey Cole, the tying run, on second base. Dylan Kelley stood out tonight on the mound giving up only 2 hits, no earned runs, and had 12 strikeouts with 4 walks in his 7 innings pitched. Can't ask for much better pitching than we have had the past two games. Only 2 hits allowed, 0 earned runs, 22 strikeouts and 6 walks between Dylan Kelley and Ben Wallace.  The Knights will face the Argenta-Oreana Bombers in a conference match up on Monday at South Park in Farmer City, first pitch at 4:30 PM. Ben Wallace will be back on the mound for the Knights.

Blue Ridge Lady Knights built a six-run lead in the fifth inning and then held off Delavan for an 8-6 victory last night.  The Knights pulled away with three runs in the third inning.  Carsyn Stiger grounded out, scoring one run and Ashlyn Voyles homered on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.  The final rally in the fifth inning led by a single from Cassie Zimmerman and a 3 run home run from Alexis Young.  Ellie Schleiper led the Blue Ridge Varsity Knights to victory in the pitcher's circle going seven innings, allowing five hits and six runs while striking out three.  Come support the Lady Knights tonight at 430 as they take on Arcola.  Its Senior night!!
