It’s not too late to order the Yearbook!  Orders are due May 27th!  Cost is $55.  Please give your payment to Ms. Thacker.

 

Parkland College will be here today during 6th hour in the conference room. Any senior that is planning on attending Parkland in the fall should attend. See Ms. Clayton or Ms. Hieronymus for a pass.

 

Part time Lifeguard and Pool Cashier summer positions are available at the Farmer City pool this summer!  Applications are in the office and there will be an informational meeting at city hall on May 5th at 4pm for all pool workers and cashiers.  This will be your opportunity to turn in employment paperwork and sign up for scheduling.

 

Any incoming freshman through senior who is interested in learning a new skill, being part of a competitive team, and a component of school spirit is invited to the 2022 Color Guard Clinics and Auditions. No experience is necessary and you never know if you can achieve it if you don't try it. Clinics are in the old gym on May 11th and 12th from 5:30-6:30 and May 16th and 18th from 5:30-6:30 with Auditions being on May 19th from 5:30-7:30. It is okay if you can't make it to clinics. See any current guard member or Ms. Meisner for more information.

 

The FINAL chance to purchase Prom and Post Prom tickets during lunch is TODAY!   Prom tickets are $15 each and Post Prom tickets are $10 each. No tickets will be sold at the door!  Non-guest forms must be returned by Friday, May 6th. 

 

Seniors - all fines now must be paid in cash by May 20th.

The Thespian Troupe awards night will be held on Monday, May 9th at 7pm in the old gym.

The Spring pops concert will be held on Tuesday, May 10th at 7:30pm in the old Gym.

Are you a young woman at least 16 years of age? Are you wanting to gain friendships, memories, and a way to promote DeWitt County? Then you are invited to "Lunch with the Queen" on May 11th during lunch in the Ag Room. The 2021-2022 Miss Farmer City- DeWitt County Fair Queen Lindsey Quinn will be in the Ag Room willing to talk to anyone interested in running in the pageant this summer. Lunch will be provided. To make sure we have enough lunch, register for the event by 1st Hour on May 11th by emailing Ms. Meisner or by using the QR Code on any of the posters around the school about the event. 

Yesterday FFA members traveled to Illinois Central College in East Peoria to compete in Ag Mechanics and Conduct of Chapter Meetings events. 9 students competed in their respective events with 6 placing in the top 10 and another in the top 15. In the Ag Mechanics event Tray Hardesty was 10th overall in Ag Power and Kaleb Southern was 8th overall in Carpentry. In the Conduct of Chapter Meetings event the team placed 3rd overall in the state by a very close margin! Lily Enger placed 3rd overall as Chair with Lori Weiss placing 3rd overall floor member, Rachel Light placing 7th overall floor member, and one of the 8th grade members Ava Paullin placing 9th overall floor member. Congratulations to all for their success.
