DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

If you are bringing a guest to the Homecoming dance on September 3rd, the forms are now available in the office.  The forms are due back to the office on Wednesday!  Thursday and Friday will be signups for coming to the dance during lunch.  Admission will be $3 for a single and $5 for a couple.  The dance will be from 7-10pm on Saturday in the old gym.

 

FFA Night is September 14th this year., if you're in an ag class come to the Ag Room at 6 pm on September 14th for a cookout and activity to kick off the new year. 

 

Are you looking to find fame and glory? Do you want to try something new with potential friends?! Then come check out the Dungeons and Dragons Club this Friday in Mr. Minteer's room, room 207. The meeting will be after school from 3:15 - 4 pm. Whether you have played before or just want to see what it's all about, stop by this Friday after school, 3:15 - 4 pm!

TODAY  is Country day

Wednesday is Beach day

Thursday is Crazy Accessory day (since it is also school picture day – Please make it so your accessory can be removed for pictures on Thursday morning)

Friday is Class Color day (Staff wears Blue Ridge gear)

The Snack Shack is officially open!!!!! Everything's a dollar or less. Come to room 212 during passing periods or any time the door is open and help support our life skills class. Please do not come in for snacks when the door is closed.

 

If you're looking for a community of people who will encourage and challenge you as you walk through life, come check out "Thrive".   Thrive is a place to grow in community as you grow in your faith and it is open to everyone! We'll meet on Thursdays at lunch in Mr. Minteer's room starting next week. Lunch will be provided!  Don't just get through your day, try to Thrive!

 

Upcoming college visit dates to remember:  September 7 Eastern Illinois University @ 2:30pm, September 8 University of Illinois @ 10:00am and September 13th Bradley University @ 9:30am.

 

On Saturday the varsity volleyball team went 3-2 on the day placing 4th out of 10 teams competing.  In pool play the lady knights defeated Deland-Weldon and Midland in straight sets before losing to Villa Grove in a close 3 set match then rebounding to defeat Calvary Christian.  The Knights played a close two set match to Judah in the 3rd place match but came up just short.  Leading the Knights was Gracie Shaffer with 41 assists and 18 aces followed by Alexis Wike with 37 digs and Phoebe Reynolds with 29 kills.  Thanks to all the support staff who helped the tourney run smoothly.  Go Lady Knights!

 

It’s Golf senior night and grandparent’s night on Thursday, September 1st.  We will recognize seniors after the match at Woodlawn.  Everyone is invited out for the festivities.
