Attention Freshmen class -  this is your FINAL reminder to fill out the google form that was sent to you. This is your opportunity to voice your opinion on your class fundraiser.

Basketball Cheerleading tryouts will be held Wednesday 10/26 from 6-8pm in old gym. You are required to attend both days of tryouts. 

 

Dylan Coffey and Sai Dean please return your soccer uniforms or you will be charged for them.

 

Phoebe Reynolds please return you golf bags this week!

 

Midwest Technical Institute from Springfield will be coming for a visit next Wednesday, November 2nd, during 4th hour. This is a great opportunity for anyone that is interested in pursuing a career in the trades.

Please get a pass from Ms. Clayton or Ms. Hieronymus before 11/2 to be able to attend the visit. 

 

It’s October and it’s Halloween time!  The Student Council is sponsoring a Halloween Costume contest on Monday, Oct 31st.  We’ll have a panel of Judges during lunch and there will be prizes from the Snack Shak for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places!  Happy Haunting!

 

We’re proud of the Blue Ridge football team for winning their game on Saturday night 44 to 34 against Galva HS.  We made the football playoffs for the first time in 21 years!  The playoff game is this Saturday at Amboy, IL at 3pm.  We will have a fan bus going and probably leave by 12:45 or so.  Please sign up in the office.  It’s $1 to ride the bus plus entry into the game.  Let’s show some Knight Pride and have a big group on the bus!  Good luck Knights!

 

Girls Basketball and Scholastic Bowl begin practices next Monday, 10/31.

 

Congrats to the varsity volleyball team on defeating Deland-Weldon in the regional quarterfinal last night by set scores of 25-18, 25-9 to improve to 24-11.  Leading the knights was Phoebe Reynolds with 16 digs and 4 kills and 2 aces.  Gracie Shaffer paced the knights with 10 assists, 14 digs and 4 kills and 1 block.  The knights play Cornerstone tonight at 7 pm in Heyworth.  Go knights!
