DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

for Wednesday, November 16th   

It's Puffins and Butter Braid time again!  Please see a Sophomore to place your holiday orders.  Money and orders are due this Friday to Mrs. Lagle.

 

Anyone interested in being a part of the color guard next year or wanting a chance to check it out, or any current band student that wants a chance to spin with the guard this winter can be a part of the Basketball Guard. Schedules will be outside the Ag Room for anyone interested in giving it a chance. For any questions see Ms. Meisner in the Ag Room. 

 

The next FFA meeting is TONIGHT with committees meeting at 6:30 and the chapter meeting at 7:00pm. Come join in on the fun!

 

Class meetings will be held on Thursday, November 17th starting about 8:30 with the Freshman, Sophomores, then Juniors and Seniors with Herff Jones.  Go to class, take attendance and you will be called down by classes when ready.  Also, Monday Nov. 28th from 3pm to 6pm will be parent/student night from Illini Grad Sales in the small hallway off the commons area.

 

Thursday, November 17th after school, the sports winter pictures will be taken as follows:

3:30 quiz bowl in the library 

4:00 girls’ basketball 

4:30 boys’ basketball 

5:00 basketball cheer

 

Attention all Seniors – please come to the office to sign-off on the correct spelling of your diploma. 

 

Thrive is meeting in Mr. Minteer's room during lunch on Thursday and food will be provided. Come join us for good food, good conversations, and good community. Don't just get through the day; try to THRIVE!

 

D and D club will meet Friday after school until about 4:45 in Ms. Small's room. We will have a short game after school so if you haven't had a chance to check out Dungeons and Dragons, come join us on Friday! If you have any questions, come see Mr. Minteer.

 

If you are interested in lifeguard classes, there will be some offered during winter break.  Come to the office and we’ll put you on the list and give you more details when we get them.

 

Monday, November 28th Coach Wallace will have a meeting after school in the Commons for anyone interested in Baseball this spring.  Please attend if you can!

 

Last night the FFA Dairy Foods team competed at Sangamon Valley High School and placed 3rd overall as a team. Lillian Enger was 3rd overall individually at the event with other team members including Brenna Friel, Gavin Friel, Lori Weiss, Payton Heiser, Rachel Light, Presley Hardesty, and Ava Paullin.
