Did you ever want to learn more about birds? The Schneider 2nd grade students are your bird experts!!! Thanks to an Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) Grant, 2nd graders enjoyed outdoor adventures at Homer Lake Forest Preserve. Students observed different kinds of birds, went on a hike, and enjoyed fun in the GREAT OUTDOORS!!!!! Lots of fun for our 'flock' to end our wonderful school year!

Mrs. Brackenhoff’s first grade class has been working on ‘How To’ writing. As an introduction to the unit, students made their own PB&J sandwiches and then wrote a piece titled “How to Make a PB&J.” Students had a blast making their sandwiches and they were able to give detailed instructions in their writing. Great work, 1st graders!

Our K-3rd grade students received their free books from the book fair on Tuesday! Schneider's PIE and funds raised by previous book fairs made it possible for each student to select a book to keep for their own. The Sour Grape was the biggest hit with our K/1st grade crowd!
